The aim of Chinese mindfulness meditation is to eliminate diseases and to achieve longevity. Its major form is body movements, incorporated many other elements. And it is recognized and inherited by schools of TCM along the history as method of body movement cultivation. The present dissertation explored the characteristics, principle and clinical applications of Chinese mindfulness meditation, based on the literature of TCM from a theoretical perspective of aponeurotic channel.Based on case record analysis, a set of key terms about Chinese mindfulness cultivation are provided, and the author maintained that Chinese mindfulness cultivation is a systematic extraction of muscles, and further described and categorized this kind of extraction movement from a perspective of dynamics. Its dynamic characteristics include: anti-tension, spiral movement, and 3-step in one. On these characteristics, the principles of movement are discussed from aponeurotic channel theory and biology, and the author proposed it is the aponeurotic channel system that is extracted, thus exerting influence on the whole organic movement, and this extraction is completed by synchronic influences from many factors. Based on this, the treatment of diseases by Chinese mindfulness practice is also through the systematic extraction of aponeurotic channel to threat diseases stemmed from aponeurotic channel system. The principle of treatment includes"aponeurotic channel diseases be treated through aponeurotic channel","extraction of extremities"and"systematic extraction". And the methods include:"extracting the sick (aponeurotic channel)","extracting the source of spring points", and"extracting zang-fu".Besides research into the theory of aponeurotic channel in TCM, the present dissertation incorprated some new findings in biology related to aponeurotic channel, and compared them with the interpretation of aponeurotic channel, trying to find out a new way for modern multi-disciplinary research into Chinese mindfulness cultivation in TCM.
