The Study Of Medication Rule Of Arthralgia Syndrome Based On Prescription Data Mining

Arthralgia syndrome is one of the common and frequently-occurring diseases. Many diseases in western medicine such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sjogren syndrome, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Ankylosing Spondylitis and Gout belong to the scope of Arthralgia syndrome in Traditional Chinese Medicine.Ancient and modern physicians accumulated rich experience in the treatment of Arthralgia Syndrome and left many documents. These clinical experiences need to be summarized in order to grasp the law of diagnosis and treatment.OBJECTIVES1. Discuss the treatment law of arthralgia syndrome.2. Explore problems of data mining in Traditional Chinese Medicine for example with arthralgia syndrome.METHODS1. Literature review.1311prescriptions of Arthralgia Syndrome were collected and made a systematic analysis of arthralgia disease name, etiology and pathogenesis, syndrome and therapeutic methods. Research shows that the theory and treatment of Arthralgia syndrome originated in "Nei Jing", based on "Shang Han Za Bing Lun", developed in Tang and Song Dynasty, perfected in Ming and Qing Dynasty, develop in modern times.2. Data mining research of arthralgia prescription.We made arthralgia prescriptions as the entry point and made "Dictionary of Chinese Medicine Prescription" as the main source of information. Finally1311arthralgia syndrome prescriptions were selected. Then the raw data were organized according to the "Clinical diagnosis and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine terminology·syndrome part","Chinese herbal medicine" and "pharmacy (the fifth version)" and established a standardized prescription database. On this basis, We made an analysis of prescription data by using Excel2010and SPSS Clementine software. The method of data mining include frequent itemsets and association rule.RESULTS1. Literature review.(1) The main causes of arthralgia can be divided into internal and external causes. The internal causes include insufficiency of natural endowment, injury due to diet, maladjustment of work and rest, emotional disorders and blockage of phlegm and blood stasis. The external causes include wind-cold-dampness pathogen, heat pathogen, poor abode environment and living carelessly.(2) Arthralgia syndromes are usually divided into wind-cold-dampness arthralgia syndromes, wind-dampness-heat arthralgia syndromes, phlegm-static-blood blockage arthralgia syndromes and liver and kidney deficiency arthralgia syndromes.(3) The main treatment principles of arthralgia syndromes:dispelling pathogenic wind and removing cold, eliminating dampness and dredging channels; clearing heat and dredging channels, dispelling pathogenic wind and removing dampness; removing phlegm and expelling blood stasis, removing arthralgia and dredging channels; nourishing liver and kidney, relieving rigidity of muscles and relieving pain.2. Data mining research of arthralgia prescription.(1)1311prescriptions were selected and672kinds of herb were used. The total frequency is15517and11.84in average. Among these herbs, the frequency of157herbs is more than20and the frequency of42herbs is more than100.(2) The top three types of herbs:tonic herbs, rheumatism herbs and relieve superficies syndrome herbs.(3) The commonly used single herb in treatment of arthralgia syndrome:Dang Gui, Fang Feng, Fu Zi, Chuan Xiong and Qiang Huo, etc.(4) A combination of two herbs commonly used:Dang Gui+Chuan Xiong, Rou Gui+Dang Gui, Du Huo+Sang Ji Sheng and Ru xiang+Mo Yao, etc.(5) A combination of two rheumatism herbs commonly used:Bai Hua She+Tian Ma, Wu Shao She+Tian Ma, and Sang Ji Sheng+Du Huo, etc.(6) A combination of three herbs commonly used:Chuan Xiong+Fang Feng+Dang Gui, Qiang Huo+Fang Feng+Dang Gui and Gan Cao+Fang Feng+Dang Gui,etc.(7) A combination of four herbs commonly used:Qiang Huo+Chuan Xiong+Fang Feng+Dang Gui, Gan Cao+Chuan Xiong+Dang Gui+Fang Feng and Chuan Xiong+Fang Feng+Dang Gui+Gan Cao, etc.(8) The commonly used single herb in treatment of wind-cold-dampness arthralgia syndrome:Dang Gui, Fu Zi, Chuan Xiong, Rou Gui and Chuan Wu, etc.(9) The commonly used single herb in treatment of wind-dampness-heat arthralgia syndrome:Huang Bai, Sheng Ma, Da Huang, Xi Jiao and Shi Gao, etc.(10) The commonly used single herb in treatment of phlegm-static-blood blockage arthralgia syndrome:Chuan Xiong, Ban Xia, Mo Yao, Tian Nan Xing and Sheng Di, etc.(11) The commonly used single herb in treatment of liver and kidney deficiency arthralgia syndrome:Fu Ling, Ren Shen, Shu Di, Shi Hu and Shan Zhu Yu, etc.(12) A combination of two wind-cold-dampness rheumatism herbs commonly used:Hu Gu+Dang Gui, Cao Wu+Chuan Wu and Ma Huang+Dang Gui, etc.(13) A combination of two wind-dampness-heat rheumatism herbs commonly used:Huang Bai+Qiang Huo, Huang Bai+Cang Zhu and Shi Gao+Gan Cao, etc.(14) A combination of two phlegm-static-blood blockage rheumatism herbs commonly used:Ban Xia+Qiang Huo, Tian Nan Xing+Qiang Huo and Wu Jia Pi+Chuan Xiong, etc.(15) A combination of two liver and kidney deficiency rheumatism herbs commonly used:Shan Zhu Yu+Fu Ling, Zhi Shi+Gan Cao and Shan Zhu Yu+Du Zhong, etc.(16) The common arthralgia preparation is:pill, decoction, powder and ointment.(17) Arthralgia prescription is a process of continuous improvement from the perspective of the evolution of prescription arthralgia.CONCLUSION1. Throughout the history of the development of arthralgia prescription, arthralgia prescription is a process of continuous improvement. In Song Dynasty, the basic treatment laws of arthralgia were established. In Ming and Qing dynasties, the comprehensive understandings were recognized. In modern times, the understandings of arthralgia are perfect.2. The prescription laws of arthralgia syndrome are as follows:(1) The main principles of treating arthralgia syndrome are dispelling pathogenic wind and removing dampness, strengthening and consolidating body resistance.(2) Clearing heat is also a fundamental principle of treatmenting arthralgia.(3) Arthralgia syndrome treatment often supplemented by promoting blood circulation for removing blood stasis, warming interior, regulating qi-flowing for relieving pain and suppressing hyperactive liver for calming endogenous wind.(4) The role of resolving superficies in arthralgia prescription cannot be ignored.(5) Animal medicine, rattan herbs and toxic herbs have an important role in the treatment of arthralgia syndromes.3Arthralgia syndrome differentiation rules are as follows:(1) Arthralgia syndrome is treated by combining with diseases and syndromes(2) Deficiency is a key factor for treating arthralgia syndrome.(3) Arthralgia treatment should pay attention to the main drug, according to modern pharmacological study of appropriate choice of drugs.4In the research of data mining of prescriptions of traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Medicine theory can be proved in a quantitative form. Through data mining, the common arthralgia drugs can explored, the basis for clinical and the thought for scientific research can be provided. But data mining has also its limitations, need to be studied further.
