The dissertation focuses on the taxonomic study of the subfamily Lecithocerinae from China. In the general part, the research history and the current status of the family Lecithoceridae are briefly introduced, and the general morphology is summarized. In the systematic part, the morphological characters of each available species are described in detail. By using DIVA-GIS, the geographical distribution pattern of the subfamily Lecithoceridae in China is analyzed, and the geographical distribution of each species is given.A total of ninety-nine species in nineteen genera are described in detail based on the available specimens in China, including one newly recorded genus,36new species (nine have been published), and11newly recorded species. Females of eight species and male of one species are described for the first time in science; three new combinations are proposed; and mismatched females of one species is rectified. The following one genus and11species are reported for the first time in China:Alciphanes Meyrick,1925; Amaloxestis astringens Gozmany,1973; Eurodachtha rotundina Park,2009; Homaloxestis australis Park,2004, H. plocamandra (Meyrick,1907), H. saitoi Park,2004; Nosphistica owadai Park,2005; Lecithocera chersitis Meyrick,1918, L. dierli Gozmany,1973, L. jlavicosta Gozmany,1973, L. neosticta Meyrick,1918; and Tegenocharis tenebrans Gozmany,1973.Thirty six species are described as new, including nine species that have been published: Homaloxestis aciformis Liu et Wang,2014, H. ellipsoidea Liu et Wang,2014; Issikiopteryx parelongata Liu et Wang,2013,I. suiyangensis Liu et Wang,2013,I. nigerflavis Liu et Wang,2013; Synesarga brevidigitata Liu et Wang,2014, S. breviclavata Liu et Wang,2014; Spatulignatha longizonalis Liu et Wang,2014, S. arcuata Liu et Wang,2014; Alciphanes foliacea sp. nov.; Nosphistica aduncata sp. nov., N. palacea sp. nov., N. cornprocessa sp. nov., N. longiclavata sp. nov., N. flavisocherioa sp. nov., N. fustidentata sp. nov.; Lecithocera tenuiclavata sp. uov., L. falcatus sp. nov., L. ligulacea sp. nov., L. papillata sp. nov., L. curvizonalis sp. nov., L. semicricoidea sp. nov., L. quadrata sp. nov., L. tenuizonalis sp. nov., L. rutriformis sp. nov., L. furcellata sp. nov., L. flavibrvna sp. nov., L. anchoroida sp. nov., L. semiorbiculata sp. nov., L. duplicspinea sp. nov., L. cultratus sp. nov., L. sinuolata sp. nov., L. dispardentiformis sp. nov., L. suiyana sp. nov., L. aucriculata sp. nov., L. pycnacantha sp. nov., L. brevispinea sp. nov.; Opacoptera (Opacoptera) longacerosa sp. nov.Females of Amaloxestis astringens Gozmany,1973, Lecithocera nitikoha Wu et Liu,1993, L. cladia (Wu,1997), L. meyricki Gozmany,1978, L. anglijvxta Wu,1997, L. longivalva Gozmany,1978, Spatulignatha idiogena Wu,1994, and S. hemichrysa (Meyrick,1910), as well as the male of Lecithocera contorta Wu et Liu,1993are described for the first time in science. Three new combinations are proposed, Lecithocera sarmenta (Wu,1994) comb, nov., L. baliocata (Wu,1994) comb. nov. and L. dactylisana (Wu,1994) comb. nov.Keys to genera and to species of each genus are given. Citations of each taxon are listed. Images of labial palpus and venation of each genus, and male and female genitalia of new species are provided.Special structures of the male seventh and eighth sternites in some genera are firstly analyzed. The result shows that the special structures can play an important role in the separation of genera and species. All the specimens, including the type specimens, are deposited in the Insect Collection, College of Life Sciences, Nankai University, Tianjin, China.
