The species of the genus Macrophya Dahlbom (Insecta, Hymenoptera, Tenthredinidae) in the world are reviewed at first in this paper. The research histories of the genus are reviewed briefly. The external morphology, biological patterns of geographical distribution and taxonomic characters of the genus are outlined.According to the known sawfly list of the genus Macrophya in the world, it shows that there are4patterns of the sawfly fauna elements. That is to say Holarctic element, Nearctic element, Oriental element and Palaearctic element. Palaearctic element is the core of the sawfly fauna elements on Macrophya. There are18patterns of the sawfly fauna element and it is the highest propotion of Qinling corridor pattern. In the worldwide, Eastern Asia pattern is the core of the sawfly fauna element on Macrophya. As well as, in China there are1main distribution center which is Qinling corridor region and3smaller distribution centers which are Funiu-Daba mountains region, XiangGan-ZheMin mountains region, Xing’anlin-Changbai Mountains region. About Macrophya species groups in China, there are6patterns of geographical distribution characteristics. That is to say Mainland pattern, South pattern, Eastern edge of Qingzang plateau-Qinling corridor-Northeast pattern, Qinling corridor-Northeast pattern, Northeast Pattern and Northwest Pattern.According to morphology characters of the genus Macrophya,27species groups are formed after consulting references and checking type specimen. And the keys of species groups and species are established.245species including91new species to scientific unknown are described and1new synonym are constructed. To245species, there are full incitations, morphological description, plate (adult female and male in dorsal view, head of female or male in dorsal view, mesopleuron and metapleuron of female or male, ovipositor sheath in lateral view, antenna of female or male, lancet of female, the middle serrulae of female, gonoforceps and penis valve of male), distribution, specimen records examined, type locality, Etymology and Remarks are provided. To97species, there are full incitations and distribution simply. Type specimens of new species are deposited in the Insect Collection of Central South University of Forestry and Technology, Changsha, Hunan, China.Species groups of Macrophya:M. alba group; M. apicalis group; M. blanda group; M. cinctula group; M. coxalis group; M.(P.) crassuliformis group; M. duodecimpunctata group; M. epinota group; M. flavolineata group; M. flavomaculata group; M. formosana group; M. histrio group; M. imitator group; M. jiuzhaina group; M. ligustri group; M. malaisei group; M. montana group; M. planata group; M. pompilina group; M.(P.) punctumalbum group; M. regia group; M. sanguinolenta group; M. sheni group; M. sibirica group; M. tibiator group; M. vittata group and M. zhaoae group.New species of Macrophya:M. albiorbitis sp. nov.; M. allominutifossa sp. nov.; M. apicimaculata sp. nov.; M. brevicinctata sp. nov.; M. breviclypea sp. nov.; M. brevispuralis sp. nov.; M. carinovertexila sp. nov.; M. changbaina sp. nov.; M. chengi sp. nov.; M. circulotibialis sp. nov.; M. cloudae sp. nov.; Macrphya coloritibialis sp. nov.; M. convexivertexa sp. nov.; M. curvatitheca sp. nov.; M. deqinensis sp. nov.; M. elegansoma sp. nov.; M. erythrotibialis sp. nov.; M. eucarinatalia sp. nov.; M. femoratila sp. nov.; M. flavocornis sp. nov.; M.frontalis sp. nov.; M. glabrifrons sp. nov.; M. gongshana sp. nov.; M. guanshanicus sp. nov.; M. harbina sp. nov.; M. hemojuni sp.nov.; M. hongyana sp. nov.; M. huangi sp. nov.; M. jilinensis sp. nov.; M. lalashanica sp. nov.; M. latidenta sp. nov.; M. latimaculana sp. nov.; M. linzhiensis sp. nov.; M. liufeii sp. nov.; M. liuguangchuni sp. nov.; M. liukuensis sp. nov.; M. longifossa sp. nov.; M. longlingensis sp. nov.; M. ludingensis sp. nov.; M. megafossa sp. nov.; M. megapunctata sp. nov.; M. melanopodalia sp. nov.; M. melanoventralis sp. nov.; M. motuoa sp. nov.; M. nantouensis sp. nov.; M. nigricoxis sp. nov.; M. nigrihistrio sp. nov.; M. nigrobasitarsalina sp. nov.; M. nigrocolliana sp. nov.; M. nigroscapila sp. nov.; M. niuae sp. nov.; M. nodiforiata sp. nov.; M. omeialpina sp. nov.; M. opacifrontalis sp. nov.; M. paomashana sp. nov.; M. paracoxalis sp. nov.; M. parahistrioides sp. nov.; M. parastigmaticalis sp. nov.; M. paratenuitarsalina sp. nov.; M. paratenuisoma sp. nov.; M. paravacillans sp. nov.; M. parobessa sp. nov.; M. pseudoannulitibia sp. nov.; M. pseudoapicalis sp. nov.; M. pseudoconstrictila sp. nov.; M. pseudocoxalis sp. nov.; M. pseudocrassuliformis sp. nov.; M. pseudofemorata sp. nov.; M. pseudoformosana sp. nov.; M. pseudohistrioides sp. nov.; M. pseudoliufeii sp. nov.; M. pseudomalaisei sp. nov.; M. reni sp. nov.; M. rugosifossa sp. nov.; M. russimacula sp. nov.; M. semipunctata sp. nov.; M. shengi sp. nov.; M. southa sp. nov.; M. spinoserrula sp. nov.; M. taibaishanica sp. nov.; M. tenuisoma sp. nov.; M. tenuitarsalina sp. nov.; M. tianquanensis sp. nov.; M. tibetana sp. nov.; M. xinbinensis sp. nov.; M. yichangensis sp. nov.; M. yunnana sp. nov.; M. zejiani sp. nov.; M. zhoui sp. nov.; M. zhouzhiensis sp. nov. and M. zhui sp. nov.。...
