In the enviroment of modern manufacturing, the collaborations among enterprises are more and more widely. Under this condition of collaboration, the enterprises need to understand not only the internal operation manner,but also the inter-enterprise cooperation method. Therefore, an enterprise model is required for supporting the cross-enterprise business operation and describes how the cross-enterprise business process is planned, realized and controlled. Aiming at the demand for enterprise models by the cross-enterprise business operation management, this paper researches on several parts related to collaborative enterprise modeling for multi-enterprise cooperation, such as modeling framework, model interoperability, modeling process management, model merger method. The research works have been done as follows:Firstly, the multi-enterprise collaboration architecture based on models is researched. Based on the business analysis of the enterprise requirement of collaboration, the inter-enterprise cooperation mode and the contents and hierarchies of collaboration, the multi-enterprise collaboration architecture is presented, and then that developing the business related and collaboration models of multi-enterprise is the foundation of building cross-enterprise collaborative management system is indicated.The multi-hierarchy and multi-view enterprise model and modeling method oriented to cross-enterprise collaboration are studied. Based on the research of multi-enterprise collaboration hierarchy and architecture, a model framework for cross-enterprise business management is proposed and that the collaboration business is a multi-view solving procedure including the strategic level, collaboration level, enterprise level and executing level is indicated. Furthermore, the project view model and decision view model in the strategic level are developed to support the collaboration establishment. The modeling methods of function, organization, resource, information and product view are also advanced especially emphasized the collaborative process model in the executing level. The model transformation method based on ontology technology is proposed.This method advances the automatic generation mechanism for model transformation, which provides the support for the model interoperability. Firstly, the concept of model interoperability is defined. The analyses results show that the problems in the interoperation process of heterogeneous are different description manners and different semantemes. To solve these existing problems, the ontology technology is applied to the model interoperability in this paper. The principle of the model transformation approach based on the semantics was proposed. The model transformation framework which adopts the transformation generator as the core was given. The metamodels of the source modeling language and the target modeling language are abstracted from this framework, and the shared model reference ontology and the mapping method from the metamodel to the reference ontology were founded, which are the basis of the semantic matching reason of concept. The realization approach mainly contains the ontology description, transformation knowledge reasoning rules, the algorithm generating transformation scheme and the evaluation approach of the transformation. Moreover, a transformation case is given to validate this method.To solve the inconsistent problems caused by the different modeling range and different phases, the method based on the project management is adopted to control the distributed and collaborative modeling procedure. At the same time, the management mechanism of model data access control considering the influence of model state transition is proposed to protect the security of model data. The model merging method from the partial model to the whole model is studied. Moreover, the semantic similarity among the model instances is analyzed from the various levels, and based on the semantic similarity, a series of rules of the model merging are proposed, and then model integration is completed.Finally, a prototype system of collaborative enterprise modeling for multi-enterprise business description is developed. And an enterprise application case is described to validate the modeling method proposed in this paper.
