Research On Development Of Sustainable Coastal Tourism

The sustainable tourism was arised from the concepetion of sustainable development or sustainable toruism development. And also coastal sustainable tourism is the practice of sustainable tourism in a peticular area where the place for its location near the sea induce it to be more dense assetlement and hence more easily to suffer damage. Implement of sustainable tourism is up the pole, and idea of sustainable tourism is being translate into difference not only in theory field but also in the industy. The tradition of sustainable tourism are classified with three type of resource-based tradtion, activity-based tradition and community-based tradition. Much disputation is in this term. In this paper , with plenteous literatures referred ,the research aimed to the hot point, eg how to translate the sustainable tourism from theory to practice. The main of the question is what type and what way tourism is sustainable or more direct how to distinguish what is sustainable and why others are not. And evaluation of sustainable tourism is the key to deal with the question.With the first, the tradition and the rute of coastal tourism development is retrospected . and the main question for this research are presented. Within the three tradition of sustainable tourism research , the resource-based sustainable especially the radical ideas are considered as absolutely sustainable tourism who search for the best carrying capacity for ecology system and the most fittable limitation , and it is in really in corner nowadays. And activity-based tourism, are fretrently be considered as tourism-centric tradition, emphasized the capability and the way of the human to utilized the resource, so the tradition insist of regulation of the activity of the people but not prevent the people from the resource, and such as ecotourism, green tourism, culure tourism,ariculture tourism and volunteer tourism is more or less same as this idea. And the other tradition of sustainable tourism is community-based, which emphasized the role of involvement of the local community, because it it believed that the local people who have urgency in develope tourism to improve their live and also they are the real one who care for local environment. And they can balance the lever between develop and protection.Base on these analysis, the three tradition are combined in this research. Firstly, the construction index of landscape are translated into the indicators to examine the state of ecological system,by the GIS method and three period remote image are applied to analyze the change of ecology by Fragstats software. At the same time , in the interest of finding out the essential of sustainability the social science method in analysis of perception are applied to examine wheather the subsystem in seaside environment are conform to each other and this relationship is bielived as the main factor that might decide the sustainability of the hole system,not fully but necessarily. Base on these idea, the evaluation system for examining the coastal tourism are established, with tourist standing as the industy, administrators of resorts or conservations as resource and local people as community. Through the evaluation of the perception of one side to another two, the mechanism of inter-subsystem are suveryed and to be used to estimate the state of the whole system.In the research all the data are analyzed with SPSS and all the result of date analysis are presented with the rose or radar chart to show the easy method for practice.In the positive research, the three representative coast are choosed servied as the city coast and developing coast and protected coast respectively. The most sustainbleble coast of the three are protected coast ( Shankou coast,a mangrove protected area, with the status of entership of world biosphere protection plan and the one of the five state marinal conservation), second with developing coast (Jing Zu San Dao Coast), the last Beihai city coast by the resource-based tradition, applied the indicators of landscape index. And on the contrary ,appppying system analysis, the worst sustainable coast is Shankou Coast ,and second with beihai ,the best is Jing Zu San Dao coast. The two answer, which is ture ,the question is beyond the research. It is expected to continue the research, if one day all the questions like this in worle are seluted and then the essential of sustainable tourism is unwraped...
