Shanghai is a beautiful and international metropolis that is situated on the strand of East China Sea. It is also generally accepted one of the most prosperous city in the world. It will be a world economic, financial, trading and shipping center. Shanghai become the center of the wholesale and retail business and the shopping heaven because of the perfect wholesale and retail business structure and the well-found merchandise species. Shanghai can form now the business structure because of long-term developing, especially because of reform open. The wholesale and retail business of Shanghai has a long history.Firstly, I adopt the history research method in this thesis, analyze the development process and regulation, and find out the reason that Shanghai becomes a business city. I analyze the development actuality of wholesale and retail business in Shanghai and point out its existent problem in the thesis. The wholesale and retail business's structure in Shanghai is not perfect.Secondly, I adopt the ecosystem thought in the thesis and analyze the environment of the wholesale and retail business.Thirdly, I adopt the related theories of business development and conclude the future development of wholesale and retail business in Shanghai.Fourthly, I adopt statistics analysis method in the thesis and analyze the relativity between wholesale and retail with of Shanghai and other industry.Lastly, I will demonstrate the conclusion that the workers from the industry having been upgraded were accepted by the wholesale and retail business in Shanghai. I will provide the regression model between workers accepted and the development of wholesale and retail business.I adopt a theoretical frame about the industry structure, industry relevance and industry development in my research.This thesis has some innovation in the theory and the method. The conclusion was proved that the wholesale and retail business is important in the industry structure of Shanghai. The theory was put forward in the thesis that a lot of workers are accepted by wholesale and retail business.
