The Research On The Application Of Project Information Portal In Multi-Project Management

With the rapid development of our economy, construction projects are becoming more and more large and complex. Many construction projects appear with the state of multi-project. Traditional method of project management is not suitable for the development of large project. We need a new method of multi-project management to deal with them.To obtain and deliver the information of multi-project duly and exactly is essential to multi-project management. As an advanced tool, Project Information Portal (PIP) can offer communication and collaboration environment for each participate of projects to improve efficiency of communication and collaboration. The application and implementation of PIP is not only a technological but organizational and managerial issue. The application of PIP needs the support of advanced ideology, organization theory and methodology.The whole thesis can be divided into four aspects.Analyses the conception of project information portal and multi-project management; educes the necessity of the project information portal; explores the integration, project controlling and telecooperation thoughts on how to use the project information portal;Analyses the organization environment that the successful application of the project information portal; sets up the organization structure with multi-project management office; on the basis of the multi-project information flow model, redesigns the project information flow;Puts forward the function of project information portal under the multi-project environment; Analyses the technological route of setting up the project information portal;Presents the Matching Model between project information portal and multi-project management platform. Analyses the critical factors in implementation of project information portal; explores the project document classification and network security management.
