Research On Synergy Mechanism Of Strategic Alliance For Gaining Competitive Advantage

With the fast development of science and technology and the increasingly complicated competitive environment, competitive advantage for enterprises has become the key issue under discussion and the hot topic studied by many corporate leaders and scholars. Strategic alliance, as a new type of competitive model, is starting to play an important role in the acquisition of the competitive advantage, which is named the most important organization innovation since 1920s. Therefore, it is increasingly employed by enterprises to modulate and reshuffle their business, to further optimize their resource allocation and to heighten their competitiveness. However, with the increase in the number of strategic alliances, it was proven by many real cases that strategic alliances may lack the stability and the further development is limited for lack of the system synergy mechanism and thus affects the wealth enterprises may create. So, it is becoming an important subject under study how to acquire better competitive advantage by way of strategic alliance and how to achieve the synergy among factors within a system, which is what the dissertation is working at.With the acquisition of competitive advantages as the evolutionary direction and target of strategic alliance system, the discussion of strategic alliance theory, competitive advantageous theory, self-organization theory and the synergy mechanism as the basis, the thesis is employing the method of systematic analyses and combining dynamic analysis with static analysis, qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis, and theoretical analysis with the case study, to make a through study on the synergy mechanism of strategic alliance competitive advantage. Beginning with the discussion of the evolution of self-organization growing out of strategic alliance synergy mechanism and the analyses of the features of strategic alliance system and those of self-organization, the thesis set up the order parameter evolution equation, and the competitive and non-competitive alliance structure evolution models, with the help of value order parameter and logistic dynamic equations. Through the discussion of the stability of the order parameter evolution equation and that of its models, the thesis makes a thorough analysis of its important role in its self-organization evolution, thus to illustrate the self-organization mechanism of the construction of strategic alliance synergy mechanism.After the construction of dynamic power model of strategic alliance competitive acquisition and the deduction and analyses of the dynamic factors and power path, the thesis presents a logic frame for the synergy mechanism. Still, the synergy mechanism analyses are elaborated on, from four aspects, namely knowledge synergy mechanism, technology innovation synergy mechanism, interests synergy mechanism and relation synergy mechanism. The implication and connotation of synergy mechanism, the construction of the system and the coupling effects are also covered at length. And four aspects with its respective focus are all discussed and the operation mechanism, the operation mode and the advantage effects are offered equal attention in the explanation and discussion of the thesis. Then, alliance synergy evaluation index system and fuzzy integral general evaluation model are presented with the support of real cases, as provides the brand-new thoughts and methods for the application and operation of the strategic alliance synergy. At last, based on the real situation of our nation, suggestions are timely given about the alliance synergy mechanism on three levels, namely, the government, the macro environment and the micro entity of alliance system.The thesis aims to make a thorough study on the acquisition of the competitive advantages of strategic alliance synergy mechanism, which is of great significance for its guidance in real life and at the same time offers new thoughts as to solving the problem of instability, thus to make the thesis quite valuable in terms of theoretical guidance when enterprises desire to carry out strategic alliances to acquire their competitive advantages.
