Industrial Clusters And Regional Economic Development Study

Industrial Clusters theory is a new regional economic development theory, which reveals phenomenon and mechanisms of obtaining a competitive edge via massing the relevant regional groups of enterprises. It is better able to adapt to economic globalization, market, information and knowledge development trends, compared with the traditional regional economic development theory -- the theory of evolution, the growth pole theory and regional production comprehensive theory. The establishment and development of industrial clusters have become an important way to develop regional economic, and an inevitable trend as the economy develops to a certain stage. Since reform and opening up, the eastern coastal provinces and municipalities of China remain reasonably strong economic growth momentum, as employment in greater demand maximum absorption of foreign labor, the higher the level of urbanization in the region. All of these are largely benefited from the development of industrial clusters.In this paper, various means are used to explain about development of industrial clusters and regional economic. The concept, classification, basic characteristics and the nature of industrial clusters are analyzed based on extensive literatures. After comparative analysis of the theory of industrial clusters and the traditional regional development theory, we concluded that the industrial cluster theory is a new type of regional development theory. Industrial cluster have a life cycle including formation, growth, maturity, recession and the sustainable development and the power-driven mechanism differ in different stages. Continuing innovation is the driving force for sustainable basis of the development of industrial clusters. Regional development and regional environmental effects of the industrial cluster effect are discussed. The interlink ages mechanism of industrial clusters and regional development are analyzed. The regional system of standards development and the industrial cluster index system are established, and the relationship of two systems is analyzed with the multivariate statistical analysis and measurement. The raise of Urbanization and the growth of regional economic are the key performances for promoting regional industrial cluster development. The empirical study about the relationship of industrial clusters and regional cities has been done based on the analysis of their interaction mechanisms. based on the factor analysis and model of industrial cluster and the economic growth, the method of measurement was used to carry on a empirical research of the relationship between industrial clusters and regional economic growth. After a summarize of foreign typical experience about the formation and development of the industrial cluster, some approaches for implementation of the industrial cluster strategy to promote the development of regional economy based on the reality of industrial cluster in our country.
