China, Korea and Canada have several similarities and differences. In the culture aspect, all three countries are advocate of peace and they are liable to take mild policies and tools to settle national and international social problem. Although all three countries are distinctively having an export-oriented economy, the degree of dependence of the foreign economic activities on the domestic economy is relatively high. Although all three countries take precautions on foreign capital investments, there are great impacts on their economies in the finance and industrial markets. All three countries are highly depending on the USA and European markets but with some differences. The market system of China and Korea is of "Eastern Authoritarianism" type while Canada is of open free market economy. Basic factors for economic development are very much different, such as China's & Korea's natural resources per capita are not as rich as Canada's. They are in different economic development stages and the gap between them is rather big. China is in the transitional stage, or in other words "a changing lane" period. Korea is in the period of upgrading its status. After the South Asian financial crisis, Korea has sustained a rapid growth due to the rapid change of its economic structure. On the other hand, Canada has not got major economical structural problem; though there is a big impact on the economic structure from NAFTA; also, it has no historical burden likeChina and Korea. The economic similarities and differences enable the three countries, for over a long period of time, to possess the mutual benefit characteristic. It is worth for others to explore and to utilize the potential power of the "co-operation with competition of the three countries". With the more and more economic changes and open market in China, the globalization, China's role in the 21st century will become more and more important. With communication and transaction in different aspects, the relationship between these three countries will be getting closer in the coming tens of years.
