Oil & gas drilling engineering project is a basic work in oil & gas exploration and development. It is a systematic engineering that involves many departments, many links, large scales, complicate techniques, lots of investments and large risk. And it is also a systematic engineering that involves several work categories and work procedures, intersectant and continuous operation. And it is a concealed underground engineering. The characteristics determine that there exist lots of risk factors in the oil & gas drilling operation. Each link has huge risk in oil & gas drilling project. And if valid measures be not taken, it would cause kinds of accidents which will endanger workers'bodies and also result in polluting environment and huge loss of national properties. Especially, along with the continuous development in petroleum industry in China, it becomes more and more difficult for reservoir development. The market of reservoir development also expands abroad. And the risk would be increased in oil & gas drilling project. Whether the oil & gas drilling project would succeed depends on not only the technical advancement and capital scale, but also on the management level, especially the risk management. In order to prevent and control the risk in oil & gas drilling project, reduce the risk loss, prolong the life of oil & gas wells, increase the investment yield and promote competition of enterprises, it seems to be more and more important to research the risk problem of oil & gas drilling project. And at the same time, it would become an important direction of study on oil & gas drilling engineering to study the risk on oil & gas drilling project in the future. Therefore, it is of important realistic and leading significance for the drilling corporations in China to research on the risks management in the oil & gas drilling project. However, because of the complexity and random of the drilling project, it is difficult to measure its risk. Currently, although there are some introductions about evaluating the risk of oil & gas drilling project, it is very little that researches the risk management of oil & gas drilling project comprehensively and systematically from the aspect of risk management. The thesis studies on risk management of oil & gas drilling project. It refers to forefathers'achievements. It uses comprehensively the methods of the systematic analysis, the qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, and combines theories of many subjects. And on the basis of basic theories of risk management, the project management and oil & gas exploration and development, by analysing the project system and its characteristics, and the risk and its characteristics that may confront in the operation of oil & gas drilling project, the thesis researches the identification and valuation of common risk, and sets up the models from the natural risk, technical risk, managemental risk and economic risk etc., of which one model uses analytic fuzzy hierarchy process to assess the risk of oil & gas drilling operation, and the other one is used for economic evaluation of drilling investion. Finally, study the measures on risk management from the view of risk management of engineering project. The achievement of the thesis, on the one hand, is an initial theorial study of risk management of oil & gas drilling project, which provides a new technical path for the establishment of risk evaluation method of oil & gas drilling project and provides scientific fundation for risk management of oil & gas drilling project to some extent. On the other hand, the thesis makes some foundamental work for the perfection of subject system of oil & gas wells engineering project.
