Passive optical network technology has become the basis for establishing new broadband access networks. All service based on IP, large capacity ability, hybrid optical fiber and copper access technologies have already become the trend of fixed broadband access network. Therefore, develops the multi-service integrated passive optical access system compatible with a variety of PON protocols, and conducts the innovative research to the copper cable access technology, has the important meaning. The research in this dissertation was supported by the national "Eleventh Five-Year" "863" Program Project, launched a system-depth analysis and technical innovation, and elaborated in detail system design with realization. The main contents of this thesis are as the followings:(1) In the analysis of various types of passive optical network system, this thesis conducts a study on the common key technologies of PON system, such as network topology and protection technology, FEC function, TDM bearer services. In the PON network reliability and long-distance connection, a novel method of the SOA-based burst-mode long-haul optical fiber protector is proposed.(2) The system design and product realization of the passive optical access system is elaborated in detail. OLT equipment based on ATCA architecture design, large capacity, multi-service integrated access, is compatible with a variety of PON protocols. The system has intellectual properties in the multi-service integrated access, PON protocol implementation, long distance, and optical link protection. The system has been in mass production and scale for business markets, and the system technical performance has achieved domestic leading level.(3) Through the study on Ethernet over Coax technologies, an innovative solution of Ethernet Passive Electronical Network based on MPCP is proposed, the key technologies of physical layer and data link layer related have been studied and system modeling and simulation analysis has been carried out. The bandwidth allocation algorithm for the simulation results and theoretical analysis perfectly matches.(4) Using a novel architecture and data-link layer technology for the Passive Electronical Network system design, this dissertation has developed the system prototype, and has given the system test result. The system is original and advanced, the relevant core technology has applied for invention patent.(5) Based on the passive optical network technology, this thesis carries out application innovation and integration innovation. The opening multi-service integrated system architecture of triple-tlay, network video monitoring, field bus control based on community premises network is studied. An integrated system is developed and implemented in a certain smart community project.
