Research On Digital-protection Technology Of Non-material Cultural Heritage Based On Chinese-paper-cut

Chinese paper-cut has two forms:Material Culture heritage(MCH)and nonmaterial cultural heritage(NCH).Some countries of the world and the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization-UNESCO had done more on the protection of the material cultural heritage.But,the protection to the NCH is just the beginning,especially in China.How to protect the NCH use the digital technology effectively? How many methods can we use? In this paper,we studied two methods for the protection of the NCH,based on the project which cooperated Shandong College of art and design with Zhejiang university.Discussed the meaning and exigent of the digital protection to the NCH in China.In the first paragraph,we mostly discussed the study background of the NMH digital protection(including study status quo in domestic and overseas),the contents, the values and the meanings of this study.In the 2^ndpart,based on the information features of nonmaterial heritage,using I-Space frame model gives a discussion to the goals,contents and digital technology's application methods of NCH protection.On the background of NCH's diminishing original living environment,digital technology needs to find an efficient way to rebuild NCH to enable it vitality in modern information environment.On NCH's demands for digital expression methods and promulgating,NMH information transmission's technological problem,semantic problem and effectivity problem are observed in detail with the practical approach.Within I-Space,a comprehensive analysis was given to the self-supporting information processing circle,which is composed of series of courses including coding,abstracting,promulgating,decoding,imbibing,affecting and re-creating.In the 3^ndpart,we summarized the digital technology's application methods of NCH protection.In this part,we summarized from six aspects:archives and protection of the MCH and NCH,digital dummy museum,dummy cultural relic repair and recover and evolutive simulation technology,digital pattern and craftwork CAD system,digital story teller technology,digital dancing layout and sound drive technology.All of above can provide gist for our projects study.In the 4^thpart,we collected 5000 pieces of Chinese paper-cut patterns,then analysed them,finally we find out the most basic element symbols of paper-cut,and build the paper-cut basic elements database,paper-cut symbols database,the paper-cut images database,the paper-cut moral database.All of above can lay a good foundation for the establishment of the CAD system and the Exhibition system.In the 5^thpart,based on the 4^thpart content and the VBA of the Coreldraw software,we excogitated the Chinese paper-cut CAD system:Silhou 1.0。In the 6^thpart,based on the 4^thpart content,we excogitated the Chinese paper-cut Exhibition system.In the end,all of the contributions is summed up and the conclusions about the works are drawn.Moreover,it discusses some unsolved problems and future research works.
