It is well known that anode baking is one of the most crucial steps in aluminum production, the quality of which has direct effect on the efficiency of electricity and energy consumption, and the quality of environment protection in the process of aluminum electrolysis. Therefore, the advancement of anode baking technology is the key factor in the improvement of the quality of anode, and is also one of the important research subjects in aluminum production. Since the anode baking control system is the core sector in anode baking and also the key factor to the efficiency of aluminum production and reduction of energy consumption both at home and at abroad, it is absolutely necessary to develop an anode baking control system with Chinese intellectual property rights.In the present dissertation, the author reviews the basic theories of anode baking technology and the current development of its control system, then the author makes a systematic analysis of the advantages and disadvantages in the experiments of the current anode baking control systems and their application in production, finally, the author puts forward his own ideas and a set of approaches concerning the research on anode baking control systems. These ideas and approaches are the result of large amount of research work conducted by the author, and have been proved successful in production, benefiting the enterprises that have adopted them in their production and helping them save large sums of foreign currency.On the basis of the characteristics of anode baking process and the theories advanced by the researchers in this field, the present control system is divided into five parts: signal detection, intelligent calibration, high effect combustion and control, intelligent model and optimal control of anode baking chamber, multivariable modeling and decoupling control for exhaust discharge. These five parts are studied respectively, and accordingly an effective control system is devised.This dissertation mainly involves the following research work conducted by the author:1. The proposal of a set of methods concerning the control system of anode baking in aluminum production.2. The establishment of an intelligent measurement and calibration method in anode baking, and its application to the whole control system.3. The building of the control model for heavily oil feeding and the proposal of the intelligent PFC control strategy for feeding temperature and pressure to ensure sufficient combustion.4. The optimization of the control model and control strategy is built for the anode baking chamber, combustion stuff chamber, preheating, heating, and baking, the realization of accurate control of the baking parameter.5. The building of an optimal control model of the exhaust discharge system, and the proposal of the multivariable decoupling control strategy to ensure that the baking process is energy saving and friendly to environment.
