Currently, openness and convergence are the development trends of network. The future convergent services need to span various bear networks and network operators' domain. Services can be composed according to the user's requirements and be adapted to any context environment. In this way, users can access the services in anyway, anytime and anywhere. A personalized intelligent user-centric service environment will be formed. This vision greatly chanllenges the traditional telecommunication network. Not only service layer, but also network and terminal layers are involed. This dissertation focuses on the service layer of convergent network. Some topics related to the service layer are discussed, including the future convergent service network environment, service creation approach for convergent service, semantic telecom network capability services and unified service-oriented environment based on semantic web service, and the processing and reasoning of service context information.The main contributions are as following:(1) To overcome the shortcomings of existing service creation technologies, MDA is introduced to realize the service creation in the convergent network of telecom and Internet. An innovational systematic model-driven service creation approach is presented in this dissertation. It separates the service model from the conceret API technologies and implementation technologies. So the reuse and portability of services are enhanced greatly. Using the metamodeling method of MDA, a telecom service domain metamodel is constructed. As a result, through mapping this metamodel to a UML Profile, a unified service modeling language, which adapts to convergent service network of telecom and Internet, is formed. In addition, a designing approach for model transformation description language and its metamodel is proposed. This method can separate model transformer from model transform rules in current MDA tools. In this way, both the generalization of model transformer and the agility, expansibility of model transformation rules are enchanced.(2) In order to address the absence of semantic description information of current open API technologies in the service layer, a semantic integration approach for telecom and Internet in the service-oriented computing environment is put forward. According to the characteristics of telecom service network capabilities, an extending method of OWL-S for telecom network capabilities service is proposed. Combined with telecom service domain ontology, this extended OWL-S can be used to semantically describe the telecom network capabilities service.(3) The intelligent mechanism of services is analyzed. This dissertation presents one process mechanism of service context information for future convergent service. Combined ontology modeling with probability and statistics knowledge, a unified service context ontology modeling framework is constructed, including the structure, semantics and meta-info (such as time, confidence, etc.) of service context information. This service context ontology modeling framework can support the ontology-based certainty reasoning and bayesian network-based uncertainty reasoning. Furthermore, this paper proposes a approach for Bayesian netwtork-based service context cognizing model, and the simulation experiment is done to prove this method.
