Next-Generation Network (NGN) is the evolving goal of current telecommunication networks. The separation between services and transport network is the basic character of NGN, in NGN, Softswitch was widely used. How to control transport network, support open service development, provide users flexible and abundant service is the key problem to be well researched in NGN.Nowadays, the Softswitch and related technologies which support traditional telephony services have come to be mature, while, the Softswitch technology which support the convergence of fixed network and moblie network is the hot spot of NGN research. In this thesis, the session control technology which support multimedia service and mobile service, service adaption technology and telecommunication software modeling technology were proposed and analysised, as made up the main part of the thesis. The main contributions were as follow:1) Based on the analysis and research of Softswitch, mobile servie and multimedia service, the session control model which support multimedia service and mobile service was proposed, and in the 863 High Technology Project, "The Softswich System which Support Multimedia Service and Mobile Service", the session control model was implemented and passed the acceptance examination which was hold by 863 specialist group.2) Depending on the deeply analysis of mobile call control process, the handover method which is similar with the supplement service control was brought forward and implemented.3) After the analysis on conflict between Intelligent Network (IN) and PARLAY interface, the service adaption mechanism which support IN service and PARLAY service was proposed, in the 863 project, accord to this mechanism, the softswich which could support multimedia service and mobile service simultaneously was developed.4) As a special type of software system, telecommunication software systems possess many characteristics, such as real-time, high availability/reliability, concurrency, and correctness. To improve the correctness and concurrence of telecommunication software, the data oriented modeling technology was developed and used on the modeling and analyzing of session control model which support multimedia service and mobile service.
