Industry quality assurance becomes more and more important project to the enterprise and nation with the development of modern industry and internationalization of market. As the basic method of the inspection of product quality, Sensor Technology is the basis for implementation of industry quality assurance. Sensor Intelligent Signal Processing of the is the intersection of Sensor Technique and Intelligent Information Processing, which characteristic is to implement precise, adaptive and robust measurement with the tools of Intelligent Information Processing based on the sensor characteristic. Sensor Intelligent Signal Processing is a very important for research because of its ability for implementation of sensor function and improvement of sensor performance.Aiming at Rotationally Symmetric Triangulation Sensor, this paper solves the basic signal problem of the sensor, and implements intelligent signal processing system under the frame of intelligent system based on the analysis of the effect of object surface characteristic on sensor, which includes recognition of object surface characteristic and distance detection .Main work of this paper includes:(1) The introduction of the optical design and prototype of Rotationally Symmetric Triangulation Sensor, and design of the frame of intelligent signal processing under the consideration of intelligent system;(2) The basic signal processing problem of sensor is studied: Subpixel ring detection algorithm for good imaging is designed; Precise and auto calibration system is designed; Calibration of sensor is finished and the result is analyzed to give the basic parameter of sensor;(3) Study the effect of object surface characteristic, especially the tilt of surface, on sensor signal processing and derive the equation of effect of tilt of surface on traditional triangulation with rectangle aperture and derive effect of surface tilt on Rotationally Symmetric Triangulation Sensor and prove the result by simulation of ray tracing;(4) Study of intelligent signal processing for sensor: design the method for feature extraction of the imaging signal and the classifier with Neural Network; study the robust detection algorithm for real measurement, especially propose the algorithm based on adaptive smoothing and mixture models for strong interference with consideration of sensor image characteristic;(5) Design and execution of experiment for comparison of Rotationally Symmetric Triangulation Sensor with intelligent signal processing with commercial sensor for prove of ability of our sensor with signal processing; realization of signal processing on the software; execution of measurement experiment on real object.
