Cross-platform Chinese Word Processing System

This paper discusses the design and implementation of Legend Chinese Word Processor (LX - WP) . It is designed as a cross - platform Chinese word processor. This paper includes five main parts:1. This paper describes the concept and the history of word processor, indicates the importance of developing LX - WP and its cross - platform design.2. This paper details the main structure of LX - WP system. Particularly , it discusses the cross - platform design and Client / Server architecture of LX - WP system. The client part is the main subsystem and the server part is the support environment. In addition , general principle of developing portable program is described.3. This paper details the main system of LX - WP. Especially it discusses user inferface subsystem which plays an important role in cross - platform design.4. This paper also details the support environment and particularly analyses the design of virtual memory management (VMM) which plans an important role in cross - platform design too.5.
