As a kind of large granularity component with the attributes of dynamics and openness, services are the basis for just-in-time application construction. Service oriented computing is becoming a new developing pattern for Web-based applications. So far, this kind of pattern is still in the traditional way which software developers build application by composing services from software viewpoint based on the business requirements. Because of the dynamic character of business requirements, this kind of developing pattern cannot work well any more. A new trend is emerging where software developers focus on building the basic infrastructure and enabling environment and the business users (not computer professionals) configure the resources to fulfill their certain requirements. We call this new kind of pattern for system development as Business End Programming. Business End Programming can be applied to many scenarios such as dynamic supply chain, emergency system and information system for the public.Resources (called Business Resources later) that can be configured by the business user are different from that (called Service Resources later) in the environment of service oriented computing. Business Resource is the view of Service Resource, which presents the resource description for business user. The description, organization and management of Business Resources are the key to Business End Programming.FLAME2008 is a Key Scientific and Technological Program for the Tenth Five-Year Plan of China. Bases on the requirements from the project, this dissertation proposed a resource organization model named SOM (Service Oriented Model for Business End Programming). All the functions provided by SOM to support Business End Programming are encapsulated in several operation interfaces. The main research work and achievements include:We proposed a resource organization model named SOM, which has the following features. Firstly, based on the thoughts of business object component, we introduce the concept of business service, which reduces the requirements for business user to program. Secondly, in order to provide a simplified view of business service, abstract business service is also introduced in SOM. Abstract business service supports the mechanism of dynamic service binding, which improves the flexibility of application system. Lastly, the construction of abstract business service is an incremental method that reduces the cost of maintenance.Based on the requirements of the Select and Substitute operations in SOM, We present the SOM algorithm for service matchmaking. SOM algorithm overcomes the defects in ONTOS and VISPO algorithms.On the basis of UDDI, Web Service and SOM model, this dissertation brings forward resource management architecture called W-SOMS.
