VR (Virtual Reality) is one of the hottest technology in the world, and it is walking into people's society lives. With analysing the development trend of high-powered PC and three-dimensional graphic accelerated card, this thesis presents some research results of three-dimensional graphic functions and discusses desktop VR system development platform in PC. This thesis presents a new method to constrcut three-dimensional Chinese fonts and some processing methods. Improve some algorithms in the Marching Cube, in collision detection.1. Construction and principle of PC-based desktop VR systems is analysed. Reference the new achievement of PC and Internet, experiment results show, except it can be the platforms for VR exploitation and running, some more high-quality three-dimensional media can be developed for ordinary people.2. The research results of three-dimensional Chinese fonts mainly includes:(1) A method to construct 3D fonts was proposed, and discuss some processing methods for it. With our method, one can build real 3D fonts.it can overcome the disadvantages of traditional methods. We use sections as the skeleton of 3D Chinese fonts strokes, use triangles to construct the surface of 3D Chinese fonts strokes.(2) With above method to construct three-dimensional Chinese fonts, this paper expresses the Chinese three-dimensional strokes using Cubic B-spline, through the interpolation algorithm, the simulation results show it can prevent the distortion when magnify the 3D fonts, and don't increase much more data capacity.
