Wavelet analysis is internationally recognized up to the minute tool for analyzing time frequency. This paper discusses the technique of image processing based on wavelet transform.Wavelet image de-noising has been well acknowledged as an important method of image de-noising. Attempts to make an overview of wavelet image de-noising. Describes wavelet de-noising in two ways, one from its mathematics background, the other from filter theory of signal processing. Analysis three classes image de-noising methods based on wavelet transform. Propose two different image de-nosing methods which one based on multi-wavelet transform, the other based on wavelet frame transform. The experiments show that new methods have an excellent de-nosing effect.The object of image fusion is to combine information from multiple images of the same scene to accomplish tasks that cannot be achieved with a single image. Multi-wavelet analysis can offer a more precise way for image analysis than wavelet multi-resolution analysis. Research the characteristics of multi-wavelet and give a fusion method by means of discrete multi-wavelet transform. The experiments show that using new image fusion method can get more satisfactory result than using others.With the development of digital multimedia technology, digital watermark has become a popular topic in the field of digital copyright protection. Introduce the basic principles, properties, systematic structure and key technologies of watermark. Propose a new digital watermark method which based on lifting scheme wavelet transform. The experiments demonstrate that the new method has good robust evaluation.Image data compression is one of the key technologies in multi-medium. To find a new good method to proceed data compression is an important research orient, give some research on the construction of multi-wavelet system, pre-filters and the applications of multi-wavelet to image compression. Propose a new image compression method which based on. multi-wavelet transform, The results show that the application of multi-wavelet to image compression has many advantages and potentials.Shape is the important feature of object in image. Although several system has been developed, two main shortcoming still exited: not stable and the variance with respect to transform, scaling, and rotation. Presents a new method, get multi-scale edge images based on wavelet transform, each image is characterized by a multi-scale moment vector in features space. Similarity is given by the euclidean distance between two images' normalized moment vectors.
