Preliminary Study Of Hip Prosthesis Super-selection Expert System

Object: Preliminary developing a Hip prosthesis Super-selection Expert System (HPSES)Methods: The Chinese proximal femur anatomical morphology was researched; meanwhile, the biomechanics of the hip prosthesis matched on femur was analyzed. From the knowledge about hip prosthesis selection, we got the common principle of selecting hip prosthesis. On the basis of the present expert systems typical structure, making use of the software of the Matlab6.5 and Visual Basic 6.0 to establish the HPSESResult: Compared with the Caucasian proximal femur Chinese offset and neck-shaft angle have significantly statistical difference(p < 0.01) ,the analyzing of the hip prosthesis biomechanics offered a primary platform for establishing the HPSES. Selecting hip prosthesis should be follow the common principle as follows: type reasonable, fixation match, economy suitable. On basis of the principle, the program of the HPSES has been completed.Conclusions: The procedure of the selecting hip prosthesis has been completed by the HPSES before operation.
