Indices in system safety are studied and expressed formally first in this paper. The principles on the selection and quantification of induces are also discussed. In this paper, the author establishes the mechanism-based frame for performing safety analysis, illustrates the basic principle of using each kind of safety analysis technique revolving around the mission of identifying accident scenario and its elements. The role of hazard analysis items in identifying scenario and their relationship is also specified, which improves the practicability of GJB900 accordingly. The author discusses the procedure of RAC and some issues that should be attention-giving, study the guidelines to set RAC degrade, brings forward the means to set risk code using weighted index. The procedure of PRA, three-level risk profile and the manner to express the result of PRA is also studied. To supplement safety analysis, the author studies risk management from the aspects of decision, control and organization. In order to integrate safety analysis techniques and to provide theory for the development of safety CAD, the procedure of safety design and analysis fit all life cycle stages of military equipment is put forward. The author developed a Computer-Aided Safety Design and Analysis Software Platform, which comprises the function of PHL, PHA, SSHA, SHA, risk assessment, setting and reviewing of safety design guideline and management of safety data. Through the platform the integration of each functional software and other special software is achieved. The studies in this paper provides theoretic ways and computer aided means for the implementation of GJB900 throughout the research and development of military equipment.
