E-commerce has been becoming a hot topic in the fields of academe and commerce. Security is the main obstacle on the road of the development of e-commerce andacryptography is one of the important solutions to tbis problem. The research of this dissertation focuses on e-cash systems and public-key infrastructure.Following are the main results of this thesis:1~ A survey on e-cash systems is given.2~An analysis of the e-cash systems is given and the open problems on the research of e-cash system are pointed out.3~.An efficient fair e-cash system based on smart card is proposed.4A probabilistic audit scheme is proposed and, using the parallel processing, an efficient divisible e-cash system based on it is presented.5~.An anonymity-revocable divisible E-cash system is designed.6~A verifiable secret sharing scheme is proposed and a divisible c-cash system is designed based on it.7~.A design of PKI using object-oriented technique is given.8 A method to evaluate the confidence in PKI is proposed.9~Upon the sensitive analysis, some strategies in the evaluation of confidence in the WEB trust model P1(1 are given.
