In this paper, the general design principles and scenarios of the fi.ill-scope simulatorfor the pumped storage units were presented. The hardware system structure, thesoftware system configuration and the real-time communication network of thesimulation computer system for the full-scope simulator, which is a distributed systembased on the microcomputer and the Ethernet, were designed, and the real-timecommunication protocols were presented. On the basis of the study on object modelingconcepts according with the simulation traits of the hydraulic system, the object framesof the hydraulic system were analyzed and designed with the UML, and the simulationclass-frames based on the information transfer were advanced, at the same time somespecific classes were extended. After analyzing the application of internal characteristicplatform to the full-scope simulator, some simulation models in mathematics of thetypical transient processes and work-status switches were presented. Based on thesimulation classes-frames of the hydraulic system, the simulation models of thepumped storage units were founded, meanwhile the corresponding software packagewas developed and applied to the simulation calculation of the typical transient processand work status switch for the hydraulic system of SHISHALING pumped storage units.In the end, the developing prospect of the full-scope simulator for SHISANLINGpumped storage units was described.
