Focus of research on artificial intelligence has changed from the past algorithm for problem solving to MAS (multi-agent system) study, a knowledge-centered method. This means that the methodology of artificial intelligence has changed from the traditional computing to the new computing. With the extending of the application of MAS, MAS shows the diverse nature in structure and the integration of information services application implemented by MAS needs to be unified in a universal framework to quickly adapt to rapid change of social production. Starting from a perspective of sociology and psychology, the nature of agent interaction is studied and an architecture of framework of Agent society which combines individual lived experience and use a service-based organization is presented. The main production achieved is as follows:(1) From the Ontology of society, the natures of human society and Agent society along with the relations between them are analyzed. The foundation of theory of open agent society which is organized based on services is established. The macro and micro structure of organization of open agent society are created. The elements of these structures and their architecture are presented. The approaches of top-down and bottom-up organizations of open agent society are discussed.(2) Aiming the realization of organizations of agent service resourses, agent service ontology and an Agent Service Description Language-ASDL are presented. On the basis of synthetical using of service ontology, ASDL service description, semantic query, assessment and experience mechanism, a solution of ensuring service QoS is obtained. An integration framwork of Web service and Agent service is presented. A three level architecture of Agent services is suggested. A formal description of open Agent society which is organized based on service is presented.(3) A new micro-macro mechanisim of society mergence–experience mechanism is presented. The mental model of agent experience is discussed with the achievments of psychology. The related elements of complexity of inner world of an agent are analized. The approach to determine the type of agent experience which resulted from knowledge complexity, mental complexity and value complexity is gived. Combining the mechanisim of assessment, an agent experience model-ALEM is established. The uasability and effectiveness of ALEM is validated through simulation. (4) The approach to formation of workflow under dynamic coalition based on service organization is discussed. The workflow management protocol and workflow work protocol are presented. The validation and reliability of workflow protocols are validated.In a word, through the research on agent society organizations, the thesis presents a complete framework of agent organizations based on service. The maping between abstract organization layer unit and physical computing layer unit is established. The manner of top-down organization and bootom-up organization are both supported. The phenomena of quality fitted falsely, which is raised in role-based organizations, are overcomed.
