At present, schools are subject to assaults. The main manifestations are as follows: there are more and more forces to disintegrate the school organization, the distracting power of the school organization is stronger, and it has become more difficult for the school organization to become a place to attract students, teachers and administrators. All these factors have made school culture play a more important role in school development process. The reason is that it can unify students and staff, make their school life full of meaning, and make the school develop without interruption.This thesis adopts micro-research mode on school culture and take No.1 high school affiliated to the East China Normal University as my subject of investigation, take the evolution caused by outside change at the school level, appreciate carefully the school culture and its process of construction.Through researches, I think school culture is "the way we do things here", and it demonstrate in a concrete way in staff and students's living state and lifestyle. School values are the background support and the cores of school culture. So, school culture construction process is also a process to foster school values. Specifically speaking, we can do it in 3 aspects:Firstly, construct school culture from the perspective of school history. School culture is never baseless. It has been accumulated during the historical process of school development. So, compared to simple adaptation in construction process of school culture, we should face school history and trace school development track, find its growth process and look for its own tradition.Secondly, construct school culture from the perspective of school institutions. During school culture construction process, the institutionalization process of school is not only a process of establishing and strengthening regulations and institutions, but also a process to foster school values among school staff and students. So, we should give school institution a soul, and make efforts to form the school institutional culture.Thirdly, we should construct school culture from the perspective of school people. Staff, students and administrators are the main body of school culture construction. Their lifestyle and living state demonstrate and shape school culture at the same time. School culture construction is a process to form school values by moulding school heroes, establishing ways of interaction. Administrators should be responsible for the fostering role in the school culture construction process and devotemore energy into the moulding of school spirit, the outlining of school development vision, and the school development direction.In the final analysis, our aim for school culture construction is to form our common way of doing things by such a process, remoulding our school identity, looking for a sense of community, a sense of home. We should also notice that school culture is also a double-edged sword. It gives us a sense of identity and perhaps also a burden of identity. So we must be able to understand the dynamic modes contained in school culture and make it always in a dynamic and actively constructive process.
