College students are a special group. They are eager to grow, but face a complicated society and are influenced by various world views and outlooks on life. For college students who are in their prime, belief is their coordinate of life and their spiritual power. Once they have beliefs, they have the weapon of thought to deal with enormous social changes. With the unceasing development of human society and the rapid development of new media, diverse thoughts and cultures are integrating rapidly, and people's ideology, thoughts and life styles are experiencing intense turbulence. Against the background of social changes, although the mainstream belief of Chinese contemporary college students is positive, healthy and progressive, the belief crisis occurs in a part of college students, which are mainly reflected in the shortage, loss and lacking firmness of beliefs and the confusion on the future and fate of socialism, and then wondering about the leadership of the Community Party and the beliefs in Marxism and Communism. In the real world, contemporary college students will face plenty of temptations. If they cannot handle them properly, they will get lost and go astray, which will greatly impact their lives. We must carefully analyze the features of the existing belief system of Chinese college students and its social influences, and conduct well-targeted scientific belief education to college students and walk out of the current belief education dilemma. The concern of the belief of contemporary college students is to build their spiritual home, which is a long process with tender care and has a significant meaning.Chapter one analyzes the general theory of the belief of Chinese contemporary college students, introducing the definition and analysis of the connotation, nature and features of the belief. Through consulting materials, classification, questionnaire survey and other methods, it is found that the main contents of the belief of college students are gods and religious belief, traditional moral and cultural belief, political belief and social belief. The belief of contemporary college students has diversified contents and is divided to positive and negative beliefs, so the functions of the belief also contain positive and negative functions. It is very significant to teach college students to select the essence and abandon the dross, and guide them to scientifically choose their belief and help them to fully realize and play the positive functions of belief. Through the research on the functions of the belief of college students, it is found that it has individual and social functions. Individual functions are that belief can govern the spirit of individual, give strong spiritual power to people, play a crucial role in the personality shaping and has incentive and restraint effects on individual behaviors, and so on. Social functions are that belief can promote the generation of the social mainstream values, promote overall social progress, and promote social harmony and stability, and has the functions of political incentive, the creation of science and culture, and the function of social guidance. In the social transitional period, the social belief, as the essence of the historical culture, has the indispensable and important function. For college students who are facing the strong impact on ideology and economy, a scientific belief plays a very important role. If college students have a firm belief, they can find a suitable coordinate in the complicated and tremendous social changes, and play a mainstay role as a young, high level and stable force in society. In current social transitional period, the special functions of the belief of college students are that providing the new belief system to the spiritual civilization of college students, and providing the new path carrier to the ideological and political education for college students, and providing the new practical experience to business start-up of college students. Belief has very important impacts on the behaviors of college students, including the impacts on studying, association, choosing careers, cognition, and so on.This paper applies the research method of theory and demonstration combination, and the survey and analysis of Chinese college students'belief contains two forms, questionnaire survey and interviews. Based on the analysis of the results of the questionnaire survey and interviews about the belief of Chinese contemporary college students, Chapter two summarizes the current situation, features and the development tendency of the belief of Chinese contemporary college students. Among them, it analyzes the design of the questionnaire about the belief of Chinese contemporary college students, including the target, content and methods of the survey, and it discusses the interview, including interviewees, interview purposes, contents and methods. According to the results of the questionnaire and interviews, it performs the classified statistics of the research situation about the belief of Chinese contemporary college students, including the basic situation of the belief of contemporary college students, research and analysis of the belief of contemporary college students and its influence, research and analysis of contents and features of the belief of contemporary college students, research and analysis of the sociality of the belief of contemporary college students, research and analysis of college students' attitudes to the belief education. It is found that the current situation of the belief of Chinese contemporary college students is that:the belief system is more open, the contents of the belief tend to be secular, the selection of the belief is more transparent, and the spread mode of the belief is more science and technology-oriented. According to the features of the belief of contemporary college students and the cause analysis, it is summarized that the belief of contemporary college students has the features of epochal character, pluralism and openness. Based on the questionnaire survey and interviews, the paper summarizes the development tendency of the belief of contemporary college students, including the belief of college students gradually moves towards revival and rebuilding in the era of globalization, the belief of college students gradually moves towards individuation under the guidance of multi-cultures, and the belief of Marxism gradually gets rid of "marginalization" in the rebuilding process.Marx and Engels are founders of Marxism belief. Marxism is a theory about human liberation and it is a scientific theory based on objective laws. In the scientific system of Marxism, each part reveals objective laws. Marxism system is the unification of science and value. However, Marxism belief of Chinese contemporary college students is facing serious challenges under the complex environment. The leading role of Marxism belief is suffering certain impacts with the occurrence of diversified changes in value orientation and the belief crisis in college students, and the most fundamental reason is the sharp contrast between the ideal and the reality. However, from the viewpoint of the Marxism belief development, so-called crisis is only a small segment in the entire process and is temporary. Overall, people don't completely deny the science nature of Marxism belief. How to guide Chinese contemporary college students to properly understand and develop Marxism belief is worthy of in-depth thinking for each educator. Through the survey, it is found that believers and belief groups of Marxism in Chinese contemporary college students are the firmly supporters and advocates of Marxism belief in contemporary college students. Beyond that, many college students wander between Marxism belief and other beliefs, some students have not belief at all, even disagree with Marxism belief. The reasons for the challenges the mainstream position of Marxism belief faces in Chinese contemporary college students are various, including the internal factor of colleague students themselves, social environment and other external factors, but the negative impacts of this crisis widely exist. We must face these impacts and overcome them. Therefore, after guiding college students to do rational thinking about the belief, a great development of Marxism belief will occur.The requirements of contemporary colleague students on belief are to meet their own needs in a greater degree and a higher level, which are their general psychology and common expectation on the belief. Chapter four analyzes the selection and generation of Marxism belief of Chinese contemporary colleague students. Because Chinese contemporary colleague students face diversified choices of beliefs, this paper researches how they distinguish them and choose a belief, and studies the value judgment standards applied in belief selection, and the features of belief selection, which are all worthy of our in-depth study. Through the analysis of the questionnaire survey, there are three steps in the selection and generation of the belief of Chinese contemporary colleague students:obtainment of the mainstream position of belief, individual identification with belief and group identification with belief. Belief selection and generation have a great meaning. The paper analyzes the meaning from two aspects: the meaning of belief selection to the belief main body and the meaning of belief selection to the objective world. Through questionnaire survey and interviews, the paper summarizes the significance of selection and generation of the Marxism belief of contemporary colleague students and its features, including dynamic, hierarchical and relevance features. At last, it researches the Marxism belief selection and generation mechanism for colleague students, including establishing good channels for belief information communication and emphasizing the principles and skills of guiding colleague students to select a belief. The process of belief selection is a process of value judgment, which will impact colleague students'outlooks on life and values.Chapter five discusses the Marxism belief education for college students. In contemporary college students, enhancing Marxism belief education and constructing Marxism belief system to keep Marxism belief as the dominant belief in contemporary Chinese society are the goals of rebuilding Marxism belief. Marxism belief education needs to follow certain principles:let college students properly understand and grasp the connotation of Marxism belief, let them know that Marxism belief is the dominant belief in contemporary China, but it is not the only belief and the dominance of Marxism belief is not innate, but is after a continuous development and cognition process. The basic paths for Marxism belief education are:implement young Marxist cultivation project, cultivating loyal young Marxists in colleague student leaders, which is the first step of the Marxism belief education, innovation in theory is the precondition of Marxism belief education, innovation in practice is the source of vitality for Marxism belief education, the diversification of spread modes is the important path of Marxism belief education, the development and application of new media are important platforms for Marxism belief education. Construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics is Marxist faith education of college students' practical guarantee.In the critical period of social transition, we should resolutely incorporate the Marxism belief construction for Chinese contemporary colleague students into the socialism construction with Chinese characteristics and gradually realize their coordination and synchronous development. We should actively construct a socialist core value system to guide colleague students to cultivate firm values, which is of great significance.
