The dissertation focuses on the theoretical and empirical research on the performance of rural educational input in China. Basing on the developing reality of China's rural education, the related research at home and abroad and the theories of education investment, public goods, public choice and education equity, it systematically constructs the theoretical analyzing framework for rural educational input performance; it also normatively defines the concept of the input performance, reveals the forming mechanism and constructs the evaluation system of the performance. Using the quantitative and qualitative analysis methods and from the four dimensionalities of enough, equity, efficiency and effectiveness, the dissertation first assesses the input performance of China's rural education, analyzes the direct and underlying reasons for the obstacles to upgrading the input performance. Then it constructs and reconstructs the input mode and mechanism respectively according to the urgent needs of China's rural education development. Finally, it puts forward some related policy proposals to upgrade the input performance of China's rural education.Basic Conclusion of the Dissertation1. Rural educational input plays an important role in promoting the increase of rural economy.2. There is an obvious discrepancy in the input performance of China's rural education.3. The problems of developing China's rural educational career lie not only in insufficient input, but also in irrational structure, unfair distribution and inefficient resource utilization. Therefore, comprehensively upgrading the input performance is of great practical and theoretical significance to overcome the difficulties in rural education development.2. Comprehensively upgrading the input performance of rural education relies on the improvement of the enough, equity, efficiency and effectiveness of the input, which accords with not only the connotation of the input performance, but also the basic requirement of the balanced development of urban and rural education.3. There are many complex matters causing the discrepancy of the input performance. They may be systematical and economic or direct and indirect, but the root of the discrepancy is the dual social and economic structure in urban and rural areas.4. As quasi-public goods, different rural education has different character of public goods. Rural educational products are of broad spillovers. Therefore, the government should dominate the rural educational input and at the same time encourage the social forces to invest in rural education.5. For a long time, the dispersive and low-barycenter input mode has resulted in the severe deficiency of rural education. So taking the centralization as dominance and decentralization as subject, the relatively centralized educational input mode will become the ideal one to meet the needs of rural education development.6. The perfect and systemic rural educational input mechanism should take all the aspects into consideration, such as the source, input, distribution, usage and management.
