Civil society is not only a theoretical discourse with rich connotation, but also a challenging practical problem. With the development of market economy since the policy of reform and opening-up was issued, Chinese civil society gradually sprouted independent of political life and influenced on China's modernization process more and more. Based on the Marxism, this thesis studied Chinese civil society's constructing process and discussed its structural characteristic and value foundation. Finally, it analyzed the internal interest conflict of civil society and its imbalance development, both with its political and social impact. In the end, the paper illuminated the significance and approaches about how to construct interest balance mechanism of present civil society in China.The thesis includes 3 parts, the introductory, the main text and the conclusion.The Introductory expressed the selection, theoretical and practical significance of the topic and also introduced associated research. In addition, the logical structure and the main research methods of this paper was introduced, too.The main text includes 6 chapters:In chapter I, the general theory of interest conflict and interest structural balance of civil society was summarized. And the basic theory of civil society and its historical evolution was outlined in this part; also with the detail meaning of interest was elaborated. Then, it pointed out that the infinity of human needs and limited resources is the original reason of interest conflicts. Furthermore, the author analyzed the structural characteristic of civil society and the impact of value orientation affected on interest conflicts of it. Finally, in this chapter, the author tried to find out the relationship between the interest conflict and interest structure of civil society, and then concluded that a balanced interest structure could release the internal interest conflict, while an imbalance one would exacerbate it.In chapter II, the social transformation and the history and status quo of civil society of present China was outlined. By the analysis of social transformation and multi-benefit structure, it was conclude that contemporary civil society in China has initiated and begin developed. Due to the imperfect democracy law, excessive political intervention, insufficient public services capacity of government and the official oriented consciousness, civil society in China is still immature. It was reflected in the following aspects:market economic system is not yet perfect and its operation is non-normative; social organization is weak and lack of autonomy and the culture of civil society is not modern and lack of public reasonable sense.In chapterâ…¢, the civil society's imbalance interest structure and conflict caused by it was analyzed. The separation of state and society is good to expand individual freedom; however, the internal interest differentiation of civil society and social oppressing showed that political liberation is limited. The imbalance of interest structure mainly reflects on the imbalance structure of economic interests, the imbalance structure of cultural education and social security. And the major reasons that cause the imbalance of interest structure are:the differences of individual in possession of resources, the interaction of a variety of institution and policies, the uneven development of civil society organizations. It pointed out that the balance of interest reflects the justice of basic social system and its political legitimacy. It is the basis of political democracy and social harmony. The basic principle of the construction is being dominated by the state and participated by society, with equity beginning and more protecting of social disadvantaged groups. The approaches are: standardizing and transforming government functions, establishing a public service-oriented government, improving the market economic system, cultivating social capital and citizen culture, enhancing the education for vulnerable groups and help them to set up their own organizations, and establishing a fair social security system.In the conclusion part, the main content of the whole text was summarized, and the paper reiterated the significance of constructing interest equilibrium mechanism for the development of Chinese present civil society, and finally pointed out some subjects remaining to be studied further.
