China owns expansive territory and huge population. There are a great many of differences between places. The differences are not only expressed in the terms of the administrative areas' acreage and the population which are divided by administrative areas, but also expressed the rainfall, the average of the temperature and the production of the crops. These differences challenge the power of social control of the government. The government has to own the geosophy of the administrative areas, and then send the proper magistrates the proper places, for the aim of social control.This dissertation analyses the geosophy in official and local viewpoints. Centre in the study of Taishun County, scan the sameness and differences between the official and local point through three viewpoints:the geosophy of the local nature, the geosophy of the local economic and the geosophy of the local culture. Through the comparing reading of the official records and local records, the analyzing of the sameness and the differences during the County maps, the building of lounge bridges, the migration of the immigrants, the discussion on the qualification of enjoying the sacrifice of local solons' temple, analyzing the deep reasons of the producing of the different geosophy and the characters of the local social control. Discussing the different choices of the official and the local in the ways of social control which leaded by the geosophy. Through the study of the division of the County level, the reign period of magistrates and his subordinates, show the truth of the limit of the official local geosophy.
