And the regularization of standard script connected the mature clerical script in the end of Han dynasty and the figuration of standard script in Tang dynasty. Wei, Jin and Northern & Southern Dynasty is the crucial phase of the regularization of standard script and the stone literature is the most important materials of researching on the regularization of standard script.The purpose of the paper is that researching the the descent and the variance of the stone inscription of Wei, Jin and Southern & Northern Dynasty, learning the specialty and discovering the reasons.According to the result of studying, the stone inscription of Wei, Jin and Southern & Northern Dynasty was the initial stages of the regularization of standard script, every element of standard script were appeared and formed, but were imperfect. Lots of allograph was existed and the category was complex. Some of them descent from clerical script and some were new forms. The form of component part were changed largely, the sign graphs increased, the assimilation of component part were larger than before. The using of strokes was not ruled, however, the seven basic kinds of stroke of standard graph were maturity and the stroke forms of them were formed.The paper is divided into six chapters and appendixes: The first chapter summarizes the research situation of the stone inscription of this time, and introduces the purposes and the methods of the thesis. In addition, explains the procedure of making the stone literature table and the characters table. The second chapter investigates the situation of allograph, sums up eight kinds, looks up the reasons and analyses the distributing rules of them. The third chapter forces on investigating the descent and the variance of the shapes from the mode of structure, the plane layout and the grades. Especially, analyses the neo-emerging character. The forth chapter divided the styles of the variance into foure styles. The fifth chapter aims at discovering the descent and variance of the stroke and studying the instability.
