Some Perspectives And Approaches In Chinese Grammatical Studies

Having gone through the early periods of the introduction and following of foreign theories, the study of Chinese Grammar entered the critical period of exploration in the late 70's of the last century. The priority challenge now is how to develop its own theories and approaches for the study of Chinese Grammar on the basis of the application of modern linguistics and the previous generalizations of Chinese Grammar.In this thesis, we have explored the theoretical models, theoretical directions and theoretical approaches in the studies of Chinese Grammar. The thesis has four major chapters: (1) The'from langauge facts to linguistic theories'method and the'from linguistic theories to language facts'method ; (2) Systematic studies and typological studies in the studies of Chinese grammar; (3) Theoretical studies and applied studies, and (4)the Studies of inter-personal communications and human-computer communications. The first chapter is a general discussion of the approaches and methods. The second and third chapters have been devoted to the study of the nature and characteristics of Chinese grammar. The last chapter explores some theoretical issues in the two major sub-fields (i.e., interpersonal communication and human-computer communication), and offers a brief discussion of the bright future and academic。characteristics of the sub-fields.
