The Zhujuan Collection of Qing Dynasty gathers 8,235 copies of Zhujuan, including Huishi, Xiangshi and Wugong, etc. Among them there are 1,635 copies of Huishi Zhujuan which covers about 12,000 persons. After amalgamating the repetitions of the same person, 6,383 Jinshi could be achieved. Through data inputting and processing, the dissertation is done by adopting the methodologies of textual research, induction, statistics and summing up etc.This dissertation is consists of 5 chapters except for the preface and the epilogue.Chapter 1: the analysis of textual structure of resumes of Jinshi in The Zhujuan Collection of Qing dynasty. According to the format of block-printed and the sequence of contents of Zhujuan, this dissertation divides the resumes into three parts, such as Jinshi, their relatives, their teachers and friends, and reviews every part in detail.Chapter 2: the documentary value of resumes of Jinshi in The Zhujuan Collection of Qing dynasty. This chapter tries to deal with the function of re-emending to pedigrees, local records and inscriptions in the resumes of Zhujuan. The discussions mentioned above also provide the abundant materials for the compiling of the book of The General Collection of Dengke in the past dynasties. Moreover, among all the writings enscrolled in the resumes of Jinshi, more than 700 pieces of writings are discovered being omitted by "The Historical Manuscripts in Qing Dynasty: the recording of Yiwen ", "The Supplementary Edition of Historical Manuscripts in Qing Dynasty" and "The Omission of Historical Manuscripts in Qing Dynasty" Thus, the discoveries manifest the worthwhile efforts in complementariness.Chapter 3: the historical value of resumes of Jinshi in The Zhujuan Collection of Qing dynasty. After summing up the historical materials in the resumes of Jinshi, the dissertation points out that the resumes are worthwhile in the complementary researches in the events and characters in the history, such as the places of retrial of the exams of Xiangshi and Huishi, the complements of imperial examination, new materials of the older examinees approved specially by the court. The reviews and debates here are different from the past researches, especially in the qualification of nomination of examiners and the appointed positions of newly passers of Jinshi. The questions raised in this chapter are also dissimilar from the past conclusions.Chapter 4: the sociological value of resumes of Jinshi in The Zhujuan Collection of Qing dynasty. The dissertation analyzes the geographical distribution of 795 families in the whole country, the cultural style of the families of imperial examinees and the relationship between scholarly honour of Jinshi and official career. The dissertation also illustrates the guiding function of the laws of marriage to the allied marriages and the important influence from the relatives of allied marriages to the familial education in the Qing Dynasty. Meanwhile, taking the family Sunjianai for an example, this section discusses the characteristics of allied marriages between multi-kindred.Chapter 5: some noticeable issues when quoting the resumes of Jinshi in The Zhujuan Collection of Qing dynasty. It reminds the researchers that there are some mistakes in the resumes, for example, the phenomenon of official year of the natal year of Jinshi, some ranking positions of Jinshi in imperial examination is different from "The Index of Superscriptions of Jinshi in Ming and Qing Dynasty" and "Adding Corrections of Superscriptions of Jinshi in Qing Dynasty", some mistakes in the block-printed, confused "Gongshi" and "Jinshi", various kinds of ranking titles of Jinshi are not the Jinshi in imperial examinations, etc. These mentioned above are the issues that we should pay more attention to when quoting or using The Zhujuan Collection of Qing dynasty, and this would avoid any mistaken understanding of it.This dissertation attempts to find out all-around applied value of The Zhujuan Collection of Qing Dynasty, which can make up shortage of current researches of the book. The dissertation can also make the researchers re-understand The Zhujuan Collection of Qing Dynasty well and take advantage of the precious value of the book more effectively and hourly.
