So far, researches on his Yi-ology are just under way. For example, Yi xue Yuan liu 易å¦æºæµ (Origin of the Yi-ology) written by Mr. Xu Qinting å¾èŠ¹åº from Taiwan only makes a concise introduction of Hu's life and works, and Mr Zhu Bokun 朱伯崑 in the mainland of China merely makes a brief comment on Hu's thought in his Yi xue Zhe xue shi 易å¦å“²å¦å² (A History of the Philosophy in the Yi-ology). Comparatively speaking, Song ming Yi xue Gai lun 宋明易å¦æ¦‚论 (An Outline of the Yi-ology from the Song to the Ming Dynasties) written by Xu Zhirui å¾ å¿—é” and Xiang shu Yi xue Fa zhan shi 象数易å¦å‘å±•å² (A History of the Development of the Image-number Yi-ology) written by Mr. Lin Zhongjun æž—å¿ å†› made deeper explorations on Hu's Yi-ology. Meanwhile, Zhu's Neo-Confucianism quickly and unavoidably declined to be the intellectuals' tool to obtain fame and positions and thus was distorted and lost its original features and quintessence. In regard to Zhu Xi's Yi tradition, his viewpoint that Yi was made for divination, the learning of Tu shu 图书 (the River Diagram and Luo Chart), and prenatal theory revealed in his Zhou yi Ben yi 周易本义 (Original Meanings of Zhouyi) and Yi xue Qi meng 易å¦å¯è’™ (An Enlightenment Book for the Yi Studies) exerted great influences upon the development...
