A Study Of Gesar’s Divination Literature "Divination Of Dreams In The Universal World:Far Dust And Dirt Crystal Balls"

In addition to the introduction and concluding remarks,this thesis is divided into four sections for discussion.The layout of the article is roughly as follows:The first section mainly introduces the definition and classification of the word divination in traditional culture,and systematically introduces the interpretation of the word divination in ancient Tibetan literature,how many classification methods are there,and what are the common divination techniques circulating among the people today.And by enumerating the divination in the epic "Gesar",the characteristics of divination culture are summarized.The second section introduces this divination document in more detail by summarizing the version and overall structure of Gesar’s divination document "Divination,Dreaming,All Things,Far Dust and Dirt Crystal Ball".This section mainly discusses the origin of the author and name of the document,various divination rituals and divination offerings and their characteristics written in the document.Such as divination,sacrifices,imperial wine,tobacco offerings,chanting mantras,etc.A collection of fifty small stones is required to distinguish between red,white and blue stones.White stones symbolize Manjusri Bodhisattva,red stones symbolize Guanyin Bodhisattva,blue stones symbolize Vajrayana Bodhisattva and so on.The third section further refines the content of Gesar’s divination literature "Divining Dreams and All Things in the Far Dust and Staining Crystal Ball",and introduces in detail the divining tools and expressions used by the fortune-telling masters,namely witchcraft,hexagram gods,and divination.Fortune-telling results,etc.,and summarize the basic elements of the divination ceremony.The fourth section summarizes the divination rituals and their structure,types of divination,elements of divination,and judgment methods of divination in this divination document,and focuses on the analysis of the divination literature based on the story plot in the epic poem of "Gesar",and summarizes the discussion.The relationship between "Demonstration of Dreams,Dust and Dirt Crystal Ball" and "Gesar" is to verify the cultural characteristics and document value of this divination document.This divination book is based on the epic of "Gesar",and its divination rituals,structure,types,divination words and other aspects are inseparable from "Gesar".For example,the hexagram image and the corresponding fortune-telling results will change according to the different plots in the literature and the difference of the hexagram seeker.
