Chapter One: the social and cultural ground of the theory of complete knowledge. Solovyev's living and writing covered the period between 1950 to end of 20th century when capitalism developed swiftly. Science covered every area in people's daily life. The superstition of nature science, reason and material civilization destroyed the European believe. Positivism grew fast relying on the wave of natural sciences. Trend of scientism was raised. The overflow of science and the empty of material civilization made European feel confused, so before 1950 there was another wave appeared opposite to scientism called humanism. A lot of ideas spread to Russia which interwove new thought and old thought together and conflicted with each other such as science and religion, reason and believe, elevation and pragmatism, economics and morals and so on. All kinds of waves brought to Russia a fresh air but at the same time bewilderments.The 19th century was a turbulent time for Russia when feudality was developing to capitalism. On the one hand Russian felt dissatisfied with old system of their country because of western material civilization, on the other hand thinkers of Russia tried to find a new way for their country. It was the cultural background which Russian religious philosophy formed. U.B.jilieyefusiji(1806-1856)and A.C. Homiakov (1804-1860)who belonged to the Slavic School was considered to be the forerunners of Russian philosophy.
