A Case Study For Ancient Poetry Selections In Ming And Qing Dynasty

The selections for ancient poetries is an important phenomenan in the history of Chinese ancient literature, and the deep study and analysis for those selections of ancient poetry is a valuable work in the academic circles. But at present, the research on them is in a poor way. In this article, the author chose eight representative selections of ancient poetry during Ming and Qing dynasty period as the study objects, such as 'the selected poetries in ancient and modern times', and through the analysis for the metewand and the best models that the eight selections provided, the author tried to discuss the theories and opinions about ancient poetries during Ming and Qing dynasty more detaildedly. Since the emphasis in the article is the study on some particular case, the author deeply analyzed some details that the predecessors didn't notice, such as the differences between Li panlong's poetry selections and his theories and opinions; as well as the relations between Lu shiyong's high appraisal for Gong type poetries and the time thoughts ,etc. But the study for the particular cases can take some disadvantages which make the relations of the chapters incompact, so in order to improve the internal relations of each selection, in the preface, the author shows the development tracks of the theories and opinions on ancient poetries during Ming and Qing dynasty period. Moreover, in the detailed dissertation, the text concerns many aspects which includes the traits of ancient poetries selections in different times; the relations of the selections, time thoughts and literature genres etc.. The major idea of the article is to elaborate more deeply the selections of ancient poetry and relevant arguments through objective description and analysis.
