The primary object of this study is Korean cinema which has rapidly grown up in recent years. The paper probes into the boom of korean genre films, and constructs a elementary frame of theories by case study. The frame consists of three aspects: ideology, narrative conflict and representation of space. The purpose of this study is to help Chinese cinema which is in difficulty to develop genre films, as well as to supply a gap in genre study for Chinese academia.
