Literature Of Xin(心)

Hsu Fook-kuan (徐复观) was one of the modern confucianists, famous thinker and historian. However, because of his personality, schooling experience, life background, he also made great achievement in literature. Due to the fire division of modern majors and misunderstanding, those who study philosophy politics, history ignored his literature, but those who study literature ignored his academic achievement Therefore, some space is left for later researchers. This paper aims to illustrate his comprehension of Chinese literature, analyses the feature, significance and value of his explanation. In general, this paper includes three levels: Firstly, Hsu Fook-kuan's personal level; Secondly, the relation between Hsu Fook-kuan and Chinese literature in the 20th century. Hsu Fook-kuan was born in 1903, died in 1982. He witnessed various reforms in Chinese history. His academic study was just like a focus, the terminal of various cables in the telecommunication system, by which many discussions can be carried on. Thirdly, based on the first two levels, the author studies and explains Hsu Fook-kuan's academic system. Some of these academic problems have been misunderstood in Qing (清) dynasty, especially in the May Fourth Movement. The discussion of these problems means not only general understanding, but a reconstruction of Chinese literature.There are five parts in this paper:Part 1: the cause of Hsu Fook-kuan's fond of literature. This is not a brief introduction of Hsu's life story, but the origin of his academic achievement. The following four parts are based on the frames in this part. On the other hand, this part displays Hsu's academic significance by putting him in the 20th century Chinese academic ideological background. In turn, some of the ideological problems in Chinese literature in 20th century can be studied. The first topic: how Hsu took the career of literature. The second topic: the relation between Hsu and academic ideas in early with century. The third topic: the relation between Hsu and the academic circle in Hongkong and Taiwan. The fourth topic: the relation between Hsu Fook-kuan and the academic circle in the mainland.Part 2: Hsu Fook-kuan's idea about literature. Firstly this part discuses Hsu'sgeneral academic ideas-the literature of Xin, then puts forward the centralidea-the agreement of life and reason. In addition to this, Hsu 's idea about how toobtain the quality of combination of life and reason is also discussed.Part 3: Reconstruct the theoretical system of Chinese literature-the studyof "Wenxindiaolong" (文心雕龙) . The first topic: the relation between Hsu Fook-kuan and the research circle of "Wenxindiaolong". The second topic: Hsu's analysis of the theoretical structure of "Wenxindiaolong". The third topic: Hsu Fook-kuan's combination of "Style (文体) " and "image". The fourth topic: Hsu Fook-kuan combined the "Qi" (气) in "Wenxindiaolong" and the "Qi" in Ancient Literature Masters. (古文家)Part 4: Case study of literature history-discusses Hsu Fook-kuan's study on thekey questions in Chinese literature. The first part: the study of "Records of the Historians (史记) ". The mistakes the Ancient Literature Masters (古文家) made in the study of "Records of the Historians". The second part: the study of Dufu (杜甫 ) . The characteristics of Du's poems: great, deep, thick, heavy, and the analysis of the reasons. The third part: the study of Li Shangyin's (李商隐) poems. The fourth part: the study of the poems in Song (宋) dynasty.Part 5: the study of methodology. This part analyses the feature of Hsu Fook-kuan's study methodology, discusses his total achievement, Post-experience (追 体验) . This is Hsu's special method to combine traditional Chinese culture with modern ideology. The first topic: entirety; the second topic: objectivity; the third topic: the practice of this method; the fourth topic: the origin of this method.
