17 Years After The Founding Of The Relationship Between Literary And Political Culture

From the angle of practice, the relationship between the Seventeen-year Literature and "politics" is totally manifested as the relationship between Seventeen-year Literature and the Seventeen-year Political Culture.In broad sense, political culture can be divided into three levels: the first is the political system; the second is the political thoughts and the last is the political psychology, which includes political belief, political value and so on.In the level of material system, as the main body of writing, literary workers possessed the "organization" problem, which is undoubtedly an outstanding historic phenomenon during the course of the practice of the Seventeen-year Literature. However this was just the result determined by the political culture at that time. In a certain period of time, the thoughts of the "unified" leadership in politics had become successful in the absolute unification of the administrative leadership and ideological leadership, which led to the confusion of the administrative power and ideological power. And hence the ideological leadership between the Party and literary workers was changed into the administrative leadership finally. From the political angle, it may be efficient. But because of the strong self-conscience of the administrative power, it also led to the simplification of the relation between political thoughts and literature without doubt and thus the literature rules of its own in the spiritual field was ignored unconscientiously.In the level of politically thoughts, the Seventeen- year Political Thoughts at that time had come to be aware of its own nature and historic responsibility in the form of political ideology. The trends of thoughts of the Seventeen-year Literature in New China and all kinds of literary critic movements could all be viewed as a historic link, which got concretely revealed during the course that the political thoughts removed dissidents and made itself realized. As for the writing methods, the spiritual connotations of whether socialist realism or the so-called "Two Combinations", were both first determined by the content of political thoughts and the practice. In this sense, in the seventeen years' concrete writing practice after the foundation of New China, literary texts had turned into a kind of political rhetoric tool in most cases and hence lost the noumenon position of its own under the control of the "Tool Theory".In the level of political psychology, although they were different types of intellectuals, writers in' that Seventeen-year Period had expressed that they were in accord with the political thoughts and political reality of New China just from different angles like political thoughts and political ideals. Of course this cannot prove that there isn't a crack between the tendency in spirits and emotion of literary texts and the political ideals and political value while these texts were viewed as the writing products and the political ideal and the political value were got aware of by the writers themselves. In that time, the true typical thing laid in political reason's rational supervision of the crack. Just in this sense, the literary practice in those seventeen yearsmanifested the sharp historic dialectical spirits and made any simplified true-false judgment be shallow and puerile before the real historic reality.This thesis observed and studied the relationship between the seventeen-year Literature and "politics" from three angles mentioned above, and it tries to completely reveal the true look of the seventeen-year Literature o the h'terature view of serving theory.
