Research Of The "Seventeen Years" Shanxi Folk Literature And Art Under The Restriction Of Political Ideology

At the dawn of the 20th century, political force had drew great attention to Shanxi folk literature and art. With the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, the establishment of Shanxi revolutionary base, the foundation of new China and a series of political activities, Shanxi folk literature and art was moving closer to political ideology. This paper takes "Seventeen Years" as a time dimension to explore Shanxi folk literature and art, emphasizes its content, artistic features, creation aims and their relationships, indicates that Shanxi folk literature and art’s real situation is closely related to political development, and the folk literature and art works show the double discourse of "hierarchical nature" and "folk nature".The thesis falls into six parts, introduction includes the origin of the topic, research status and research methods, these are the background and foundation of this paper.The first chapter is living environment and creation subjects of Shanxi folk literature and art in "Seventeen Years", investigates Shanxi folk literature and art’s formation conditions from the above two points. According to historical and cultural background of "Seventeen Years", this chapter investigates the the formation conditions of Shanxi folk literature and art in "Seventeen Years", and focuses on the relationship between the shanxi folk literature works and the political environment, this chapter provides background support for the whole research.The second chapter, Shanxi folk songs under the influence of new folk song movement, this chapter explains the manifestation of Shanxi folk songs, which experience the shifts in their themes and artistic characteristics. This chapter points out that under the influence of political ideology in "seventeen years", the themes and artistic features of shanxi folk songs changed, but the changes would not hide the nature of "folk".The third chapter, Shanxi folk dramas in opera reform movements, this chapter takes the folk dramas of Shanxi as objects, analyzes the reform situation and contents of Shanxi folk dramas after foundation of new China.This chapter analyzes the ways of opera reform, which includes the reform of artists, systems and contents, then it points out that during this period, Shanxi folk dramas’political educational functions are strengthened.The fourth chapter, Shanxi folktales governed by the service theory of literature. The folktales’narrative angles and narrative plots are manifested as heroic, including heroic creation of historical figures and heroic tends of common people.The fifth chapter, the double discourse of Shanxi folk literature and art in "Seventeen Years". This chapter is the conclusion and promotion of the full text, it analyzes how to keep a conversation between "Seventeen Years" Shanxi folk literature and art and political ideology."Seventeen Years" Shanxi folk literature and art is a kind of art form which developed in particular regional space. Describe and interpret the different types or forms of "Seventeen Years" Shanxi folk literature and art, could not only find the inner relation of its development process and political ideology, but also retrospect the track of Shanxi folk literature and art’s transformation under the power discourse.
