The paper mainly discusses the issues of the skills of brush and ink for Chinese painting and Calligraphy, and the role played by brush and ink in the relationship of Chinese painting and Calligraphy.The issues of the ink brush and brush will be discussed in the paper, from the point of the relationship between aesthetics and creation, on the basis of the history of Calligraphy and Chinese Painting, the reasoning of Calligraphy and Chinese Painting, and the relationship between Calligraphy and Chinese painting, with regard to the previous discussions under many circumstances including the deduction and evolution of phrases, the concept and the skills, as well as the individuality and generality, the large related area and the complicated content and system. Hence, the concept, background and the specific meaning that Chinese painting and Calligraphy share the identical function and skills will be clearly explained. Meanwhile, the paper discusses the impact of the techniques of ink brush and the methods of ink on the painting aesthetics, in terms of calligraphy aesthetics and skills accumulated during the process from the style to handwriting and from the functional drawing to aesthetic drawing, and many different kinds of paintings as well. The effects of the skills for Calligraphy and Chinese painting on the aesthetics will define the skills and techniques of calligraphy, Chinese painting, ink brush and ink, when the purpose of calligraphy, Chinese painting, brush and ink only aims at the aesthetics.Based on the discussion above mentioned, the paper tries to apprehend the relationship between the ink and brush, given the framework of calligraphy, Chinese painting, brush and ink.
