Comprehensive Research On Chu Bamboo Slips Of Divination

Slips of Chu contain a lot of content and bamboo slips of divinationcommemoration is an important part. The character of divination commemoration slipsis not only the firsthand information of Qin mathematics history, medical history,religion institution, but also have an immeasurable contribution to ancient writing,some of the masterpieces of literature and documents excavated, rebuilding thefeudatorial gods, and the system of DeZhi, genealogy of Chu ancestors. This Paperconcentrate on bamboo slips of Chu divination, Sorting and merging the contents intolong table, and discussing around this long table.On the basis of selection of each batch of bamboo slips, this paper firstly revisedthe text of bamboo slips and interpretation of the text, sorted and combined the contentof each batch of bamboo slips according to the divination people,divination tools,divination object, the divination time,divination period, the reason, divination result,the name of the sacrifice objects, sacrifice items, and the final divinations results. Weorder it in people at first if there are divination people in each batch of bambooslips,then divination tools and the slips of the same divination packed together withoutconsidering the sequence of bamboo slips, the rest can be done in the same manneruntil the final divinations results. In this way, the first part of the body of our paper isbasically formed.On the basis of the first part of this paper, we gave a thematic study on the contentof the table column. Thematic studies include the study of divination people,divination tools, the divination reason, sacrifice objects, sacrifice items, and the nameof the sacrifice. In the study of divination people, we found several characteristics:hereditary, occupation, dispersibility and part-time. The characteristics betweendivination people and divination tools include the succession, compatibility, stabilityand diversity of use. In the analysis of divinations reason analyzing the name ofdisease, the incidence of symptoms,the location of disease, we found the owners of thetombs had suffered from various diseases and complication led by some kind ofdisease. The owners of tombs are almost suffering from the same or similar diseases,such as chest tightness, heart disease, no food and other symptoms. We can concludefrom their ancestors, that the relationship between the owners of the new Cai tomb, Wang Shan tomb, and Baoshan tomb were close and we can also draw a conclusionthat the disease of each tomb owner was common disease of the Chu nobility, or mightChu nobility had family history of certain diseases. We classify these words of diseaseinto two categories after analyzed the words of the diseases: first, the words of state ofan illness, second, the words of disease name, symptom, and the site of disease. Thatthe "disease"病"" should refer to the worsening of their sickness; the heart meansstomach in "heart disease", describing some kinds of stomach disease. From a series ofdisease such as "heart disease, bottom heart disease vital part disease, stomachdisease" we can see that the disease cold spread from top to bottom of body. Owning toheart,bottom heart,stomach and abdomen belonged to a series of digestive systemwe suspected that the owners of tombs died from digestive system illness. Meanwhile,we analyzed "" in the sacrifice objects and considered it as a word of dominion.Many words such as without offspring, die from illness, strong death, misfortune haverelationship of category and predictability with ""."丘" can be considered asunspecific name of divinities.According to the sacrifice objects of three tomb owners,the viewpoint that the two person Pingyewenjun and Pingyejncheng who opposingSong Hua-qiang in feudal lineage system were father and son supported the viewpointof analyzer of new Cai thatWang Sun-yan was his father. In addition, we analyzedsome controversial words and gave our opinion.we considered "" as "泃",""as"幻"and can be explained as"觀","(憙)"as"觀喜";consider "追"asplace name and we need to confirm these words in next step.With respect to word table, we collected all published character patterns of Chudivination slips and took down in the appendix to facilitate use.
