| Up to date,the pathogenesis of ankylosing spondylitis is still unclear.Eventhough it has been reported that new therapies such as the treatment of TNF-αantagonists such as infliximab(Remicade?),etanercept(Enbrel?),and adalimumab(Humira?)can reduce the inflammatory responses,the cure to ankylosing spondylitis(AS)is yet to be found.It is worthwhile and important to study and research further the use of traditional Chinese medicine in treating and curing AS.The advantageous points of treating AS with Chinese traditional medicine are its effectiveness and its neglectable side effects.Objective:This research investigates the morbidity factor,the disease pathogenesis and the mechanism of AS from traditional Chinese medicine treatment's point of view.This study also builds a reasonable syndrome type characterization system,explores the mechanism underlying the treatment of AS with Chinese Medicine,and evluates the curative effects under the consideration that AS also induces liver and kidney deficient syndrome.Lastly,it also examines the probability mechanism of the Jibi Prescription treat AS.Method:In the literature research part,to use the Investigate modern literature and classic literature,and refers to the mentor's experience of the treatment of AS to finish the theory study.In the clinical study,cross-sectional study of clinical epidemiology was applied, clinical questionnaire was filled in,and related data were acquired.Database for data management was established with ACCESS,the data were analyzed with SAS8.2.To analyze the clinical characteristics of AS on Chinese and Western medicine,measurement data were carried out with descriptive frequency analysis and t test,enumeration data were analyzed with chi-square test,the study of TCM patterns were carried out with Pearson correlation analysis,and cluster analysis,etc.Result:To use the Investigate modern literature and classic literature,and refers to the mentor's experience and academic idea of the treatment of AS,the theoretic study result indicates that the treatment of Chinese medicine cure the AS had a long history and perfect theory,that Jibi prescription,which had a wonderful compounding,is a ideal recipe to treat AS,and that to constitute a scientific serials of TCM patterns of AS questionnaire.It is suggested from the clinical study that:1,the system of treatment by differentiation of syndromes of Chinese medicine of AS should be sort to seven types:Cold and humid type, Heat and humid type,liver and kidney asthenia type,chi deficiency and blood-stasis type, kidney-yin deficiency,kidney asthenia and Du cold type,cold and heat fool-up combine with phlegm.2,According to the percent in investigation;the heat and humid type which had 250 cases took 52.71%in all,the kidney-yin deficiency type which had 90cases took 18.99%in all,liver and kidney asthenia type which had 49 cases took 5.48%in all,kidney asthenia and Du cold type which had 26 cases took 5.48%in all.Cold and humid type which had 24 cases took 5.06%in all,chi deficiency and blood-stasis type which had 22 cases took 4.64%,cold and heat fool-up combined with phlegm which had 13 cases took 2.74%in all.3,The blood-stasis type pattern arrange within each pattern of TCM.4,The results of Jibi recipe treatment therapy group and wang-bi granules combined with total glucoside of white peony control group suggest that;control group obviously efficiency 26%,effectiveness 48%,total effectiveness 74%;Treatment group obviously efficiency 28%,effectiveness 52%,total effectiveness 80%.Two groups of total curative effects compare,the treatment group slightly surpasses the control group,but there is no magnificent statistics different between the theory group and the control group.(P=0.8655). 5,It is security use the Jibi recipes to treat AS in clinical practice.Nobody had serious side-effect except only one who had heavy vomit and diarrhea----but it is doubted that had food poisoning.The route of liver and kidney,the blood,the urine,the stool and so on is normal.The electrocardiogram also not obviously changes.Conclusion:The systematic treatment of AS by differentiating and sorting the syndromes into seven types:Cold and humid type,Heat and humid type,liver and kidney asthenia type,chi deficiency and blood-stasis type,kidney-yin deficiency,kidney asthenia and Du cold type, cold and heat fool-up combine with phlegm.The Heat and humid syndrome is the most common type of AS seen in the southern of China and blood-stasis syndrome is universality range in every syndromes.Jibi recipe is an ideal prescription to treat AS in liver and kidney asthenia combined with blood-stasis, which can cure the AS effectively and security,and can correspond laboratory indexes, improve the patient's quality of survive.
