Mammary cancer is one of the frequent malignant tumor of female and the mortality rate is fourth. 75% of the onset age of this illness are between 40 and 59. There is no direct designation of mammary cancer in TCM, the description are scattered in the literatures. In clinic treatment, the ancient doctors had cumulated abundant experience on the prevention and cure of mammary cancer. There are plentiful recordations on etiological factor and pathogenesis, clinical situation, therapeutic principl, prescription and medicine, therapy taboo, living adjusting and prognosis, but then these are separate. Hence first in the dissertation is the combing and putting together of those separate description.Although there are many reports on the investigation of modern TCM in treating mammary cancer, but most are limited in general clinical observation, or individual case analysis, or effective medical prescription. Also there are much disputation on differentiating syndromes and no criterion has been widely accepted. At present, there are more than 30 types of syndrome. On the base of former research, literatures and multi-exponent case analysis are collected and studied in the interest of finding the common and the rule of medication usage. According to the principle and methods of epidemiology and evidence based medicine, the frequency of preoperative & postoperative syndrome type and postoperative medicine are statistic analysed in order to set up a basic framework of the syndrome type for mammary cancer.
