Araliaceae Long Thorn The Aralia Heterophylla Liangwang Tea Saponin Chemical Research And Lei Phenol Lactone Structure

Aralia spinifolia is an important plant of the Aralia genus .This genus has been used in traditional medicine because of its appreciable pharmacological actions : stimulant activities ,tonic actions and its contributions to the therapy of neuroses.The chemical constitiuents of Aralia spinifolia has not been reported up to now .Six triterpene saponins were isolated from the root of Aralia spinifolia .Two of them are new compounds named Araloside H and Araloside J.Four are known compounds(AralosideA,Araloside A methyl ester,Chikusetusaponin Ib and Chikusetusaponin IVa)but were isolated from this genus for the first time.Their structures were elucidated byspectral analysisand chemicalmethods.Six triterpene saponins were isolated from the bark of Nothopanax davidii (Franch) Harms. Five of them are new compounds named YiyeliangwanosideVII, Yiyeliangwanoside VIII, Yiyeliangwanoside IX, YiyeliangwanosideXand Yiyeliangwanoside XI.One is a known compound (liangwanoside II)but was isolated from this genus for the first time.Their structures were elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic evidence.Triptophenolide methyl ether and iso-triptophenolide methyl ether were synthesized from triptophenolide.It is comfirmed that the triptophenolide structure which Yu Don Fang reported in 1990 is not correct byanalysiscf ¹HNMR and ¹³CNMR data of those two compounds .
