| Radix Ampelopsis Sinicae(RAS) is used in traditional Chinese medicine intreating surgical trauma and chronic marrow inflammation and liver disease. KeliChen who had gone to Macheng area of Hubei province to investigate its original plant have found that RAS actually is the roots of A.sinica(Miq.)w. T. Wang, A.sinica var.hancei(Pl.)\v. T. Wang, A.delavayana PI. and A.humulifolia var. heterophylla(Thunb.) k.koch. These 4 kinds of plant belong to Ampelopsis Michx. of Vitaceae.Since 1970s,internal and external scholars have made many researches on morphology, histology, chemical composition, pharmacological action and clinicalapplication of Ampelopsis Michx. But there is not any report about the study of A.humulifolia var. heterophylla (Thunb.) k.koch hitherto. In order to study thesubstantial basis of pharmacological action of A.humulifolia var. heterophylla(Thunb.) kkoch, and extend the resource of RAS, author carried out the studies on its chemical constituents. To study the chemical constituents from A.humulifolia var. heterophylla(Thunb.) kkoch, chromatography and spectroscopic analysis were employed to isolate and elucidate the chemical constituents in the plant. The cortex of A.humulifolia var. heterophylla (Thunb.) kkoch's root was extracted by ethanol(95%). Then the ethanol extract was extracted by petroleum ether, diethyl ether, ethyl acetate respectively. Two compounds were isolated from petroleum ether fraction and identified as lupeol( I ), beta-stiosterol( II ). Daucosterol( HI) and catechin( VI) were gained from diethyl ether fraction. Ethyl gallate( IV) and gallic acid( V ) were gained from ethyl acetate fraction. They are isolated from this plant for the first time. The above research can provide valuable reference information for advancingstudies on differentiation, exploitation and utilization of plants of genus Ampelopsis. |
