Asthma is a chronic disorder of the airways accompanied with Chinese people, usually caused by allergies, for thousands of years. As the development of modern immunology and molecular biology, the aspects of bronchial asthma about etiology, disease mechanism, pathophysiology, immunology, diagnosis, treatment, prevention and health education are well-known fast. Today is the Asthma's day.We are always offspring of the Chinese people and are responsible for the combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine and West Medicine?the new way can improve the therapeutic strategies of many diseases on the earth. We made up the basic theory of Western and Traditional Medicine about bronchial asthma here (from chapter 1 to chapter 10). Therefore, we designed three experiments using Liu-Wei-Di- Huang Wan (LWDHW) to explore the pharmacological mechanisms of the inhibition of LWDHW to Th2 function using animal model and clinical asthmatic patients (statistic analysis) in the absence or presence of diluted LWDHW extract. The goal is to achieve the total control of bronchial asthma (from chapter 11 to chapter 13). At the same time, we proved that the effects of the combination of TCM and Western medicine for treating bronchial asthma were better than that of Western medicine alone.
